Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny | Official Trailer

Indy's finally got a son! No! Err (god)daughter!

A mixed bag. Indy waking up from a nap in his old man recliner is a nicely self-aware way to start a trailer. The nazi parade outfit is ridiculously over the top, comically so. Visual style is glossy which is a departure from the realistic style of the original trilogy.

I'll watch this one anyway but expectations are still low.

Of course I want this to be an unexpected blockbuster hit so they have to make a sequel about Atlantis.

It would have been so badass if they made a mid 90s indiana jones about Atlantis. Around when ford made air force one and stuff. Wish they got together to do a 90s one after last crusade and before crystal skull

Yeah... Spielberg before 2000 and after 2000 are two different directors. He wanted to try a new style I guess. I'm glad he's not directing this one.

Looks so much better than Crystal Skull it's not even funny.
Yeah, this basically. Probably the only reason I'm considering watching it on the big screen.

About the capitalism line. Eh, it's cringe, but who says she's not supposed to say stupid things? Even when she's speaking as if she's said something profound.

in all seriousness….approach with extreme caution!

Swing and a miss for me. Indy's CGI face on the horse is laughably bad amongst other visual inconsistencies . Waller-Bridge feels like a bad fit for the film and Nazis for bad guys again?

Hoping it turns out good as trailers don't always give the best representation of a film, as was the case for dungeons and dragons.

Give it up dudes, Capitalism isn't going to fuck you. Well, at least no more then it already is.

Lets see if this woman can out annoy the queen of annoying female Indy sidekicks Willie Scott. She is off to a great start. Unfortunately I think Indy is going to be the sidekick in this one.

She'll probably have her own series in the future. Fleabag left such a bad taste in my mouth, couldnt watch more than 10 minutes of it.

Who‘s that woman, and why does she seem to be the center of attention in these trailers? Is she supposed to be Indy‘s daughter? His apprentice? His love interest (lol)?

Haven’t seen a single trailer but lemme guess:

There is a young, strong, independent woman involved somewhere in the plot.
The young, strong, independent woman is effortlessly better than Indiana Jones in everything. She’s just naturally amazing without study, effort or actual archeological work/experience.
Basically, get ready for Rey 2.0

what? look up what a god daughter is

Holy shit you‘re right; I mistook the word ‚god-daughter‘ for ‚good-daughter‘ lol. I know what a god-daughter is of course, but I‘m not a native english speaker, and for some reason my mind went to the A Song of Ice and Fire books, where the word ‚good-daughter‘ is used instead of the modern term ‚daughter in law‘, and for some reason I thought that‘s what is meant here too. Retard moment on my part lol.

All the odd Indiana jones have been too tier.

1, 3 and hopefully 5

Aliens was the least of the problems with 4, btw

Mangold is very hit and miss. This could still go down in flames à-la Star Wars.

Yep a few misses, but Mangold gave us Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma (reboot), Logan, and Ford vs Ferrari so I'm cautiously optimistic for Indy 5.
I've liked all of Mangold's movies aside from his rom-coms (Kate and Leopold and Knight and Day). And even for a paycheck movie, I think Knight and Day is kind of entertaining as a dumb Tom cruise vehicle?

But Mangold is a solid, reliable director and he can get definitely knock out it the park when he's doing a passion project, which this clearly is.

The plain looking woman taking at dig a capitalism makes me wonder what other lefty lessons we'll be lectured on.
I also wonder if they'll show swastikas? I dont watch many movies or much tv these days, so Im not sure if they're as taboo there, as they are in video games.

Well the movie is set in 1969. She could be playing a clueless college student & American Communist Party supporter.

Finally watched the trailer. Looks good! Especially when considering the director's pedigree, and I liked the tweets from him that people posted ITT

I'll always watch Harrison as Indiana, oh and Mads baby! The rest looks pretty shit but hey one more go round.

Also, hats off to #1 YT commenter Joe Baron -

Watching Indiana Jones as a kid in the 80s was the reason I became an archaeologist! It didn't last long admittedly: turned out arriving to work on horseback in sweaty, dirty clothes, being handy in a punch up, and pulling my female co-workers in a for kiss whenever they started shouting at me, didn't go down too well at the museum.

She was fine at first. Pampered entertainer out of her element was a decent bit. After the 300th "Waaahhh INDY deal with my complaints" while they were all going to die was grating. I generally don't like people screaming and whining in any media. She was basically frantic Lucy from I love Lucy put into dangerous situations. Headache inducing while watching a movie in Surround while trying to enjoy the rest of the soundscape.

I hope I'm wrong and that this movie is great but currently it just looks like it should be titled
Indiana Jones and the Memberberries of Doom.
