That is actually kinda awesome for people participating in the bundle...you get three sources of revenue instead of the one.

I don't mind giving the Spacechem guys more money so hey.

It's a very complex game, but then again I'm a moron. I think there's a demo around somewhere. The general reception has been all positive that I've seen.

It's great, but it isn't an easy game and also is not as assessable as it perhaps could be. The tutorial at the beginning is perhaps a little obtuse and kinda expects you to experiment blindly a bit before you understand the rules. At that price it is a killer pick up and I can't recommend it enough, but to play and enjoy it you do need to have a deep interest in logic and coding puzzles.

It seems I lost the happy hour. Oh well, I already have the good games in that bundle, I just wanted to buy it to give out to friends.

Their website has to have the most confusing system going. I don't have a clue how the happy hour works, last time I bought it and just got one copy, so I guess as you said you have to buy it twice.

Back on the other Gala Bundle Happy Hour I took part of, it worked like this:

  • New buyers of a GIFT bundle get another GIFT for free (you HAVE to mark "this is a gift").
  • If you are an early buyer (you bought the a copy of the bundle for yourself earlier, even for 1 dollar), if you buy a gift now, you get 3 gifts.
  • If you bought the bundle on the first week (even for 1 dollar) and buy a bundle now, you get 4 gifts.

Ah, that makes more sense, thanks. I haven't bought it yet, so I'll buy a gift one now and see if it works the same for this bundle too.

Edit: D'oh, just realised I have nearly all of those games already.

Hey, try buying the less-than-average bundle for 1 dollar and then buying a gift for the average price. You get 3 gifts.

Edit: Yep, that's exactly how it works.

So here's the buying guide for indie gala:

  • Buy it on the first week for 1 dollar.
  • When the happy hour comes up, buy A GIFT for the average price.

That way you get 4 copies of that gift. Redeem one yourself, give the others to friends.

If you didn't buy it on the first week (because you didn't like the first wave of games, like I didn't this time around), when the happy hour comes, you must:

  • Buy it for yourself for 1 dollar.
  • AFTER you bought it, buy a GIFT for the average price.

You'll get 3 gifts on your account. Redeem one yourself (if you so desire) and give the others away.

I'm wondering about Tropico 3. There's both the Gold Edition and Steam Special Edition for sale on Steam, and they went for 3.75 and 2,49 respectively back in July. I asked the Groupee support which version was this code from and this is the answer I got:

He's claiming that it's a "standard" version of Tropico 3, added specifically for this bundle?

That doesn't sound very appealing then, specially since I already have Stranger's Wrath.
 
I'd just like to point out that CAG user SeymourGams has confirmed that the key for Tropico 3 does, in fact, give you a copy of "Tropico 3- Steam Special Edition". So either there was some sort of misunderstanding in the conversation that drizzle had with the CS Rep, or the CS Rep didn't know what he was talking about.

It showed up for me as 'Tropico 3 Retail' but then it actually installed the Steam Special Edition so it seems you're both right.
 
If I pay 5$ will I get the yet to be revealed bonuses too? First time I'm interested in a Be Mine bundle (only for Tropico and Stranger's Wrath btw).

I can also double confirm that yes, it redeems the Tropico 3 Retail but gives you the Steam Special Edition.
 
well I think I migth be buying this, when will the last bonus game will be a announced? because I have little interest in tropico, the graphic novels and oddworld

I'm a sucker for cover art like X-Blades has. Also, I haven't quite decided if I want to pay the extra $4 just for Tropico and Stranger's Wrath. Stranger's Wrath does tempt me and I do have Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus. It's Munch's Oddysee seems to be the weakest of the four.

just played some of it and really it wasn't that bad. it ran smooth and played decently. It's very hack and slashy like dynasty warriors but over all not that horrible. If you can enjoy dynasty warriors you can likely enjoy x blades to some degree. for $50-60 which it came out for it's not worth it, but for a $1 you could do worse (and I have)

Bundle is worth it for Stranger's Wrath alone. I think the Oddworld games are generally pretty terrible but I have had a blast playing Stranger's Wrath so far (3-4 hourse into it). Neither shooting nor platforming is all that great on its own, but blends together pretty neat. And the dialogue when interacting with characters is so hilarious and gives the game such a unique flavor that it would almost be a crime to ignore it (again).

X-Blades doesn't offer all that much besides the cover art though (well, not even that).

I've decided that, why not add $4 more and get Tropico 3, Stranger's Wrath, and the three graphic novels?

Stealth Bastard is cool, there's an OT you could resurrect.

Nitrionic Rush is also cool seeing as it's "just" a student project. Both full games that could be sold and would deserve a place on Steam, imo.
