Indie Bundle Thread - There's another one?

Tropico is fun. You can create you own El Presidente and run around the streets to try to please the people. . . or send the military in to take over.

Very easy. They all have tutorials and they start you with the basics. They're not terribly complex games either, but they're plenty fun.

Pretty much this and with the whole Simcity debacle Tropico is pretty much the best citysim out there imo. And the jokes are pretty good too.

Episode 7 is mostly budget related. But I think it's important to watch them all, as you get a feeling of how the process happens, how the team gets bigger or smaller and why it does.

I really like the documentary. Some people complained that it's too good regarding Double Fine as a company, and that the documentary should show how game development is and that it sounds more like a Double Fine love letter.

I think it's both and I don't think that those things go against each other. I really like'em.

Is this documentary available only to those who bought the Humble Mojam?

Tropico bundle:

$1 Tropico Reloaded

$4.63 Tropico 3

$8.21 Tropico 4

http://www.indiegala.com/

Despite each of them being labeled as "Steam Special Edition" this bundle does NOT include any of the DLC from Tropico 3 or Tropico 4. Seeing as how this DLC is much more of a requirement to make the basic games a complete experience than most, people interested might want to check out what you will need.

Tropico 3: Gold Edition: $14.99 (Only has 1 DLC)
  • Tropico 3: Steam Special Edition - $9.99
  • Tropico 3: Absolute Power - $9.99

Tropico 4 Collector's Bundle: $39.99
  • Tropico 4: Junta Military DLC - $4.99
  • Tropico 4: Megalopolis DLC - $4.99
  • Tropico 4: Modern Times - $19.99
  • Tropico 4: Pirate Heaven DLC - $4.99
  • Tropico 4: Plantador DLC - $4.99
  • Tropico 4: Quick-dry Cement DLC - $4.99
  • Tropico 4: Steam Special Edition - $29.99
I already own Tropico Reloaded and Tropico 3: Gold Edition. As for Tropico 4, even if I buy the necessary DLC alone during a Steam 75% off sale, it will cost me $11.25. But at the current price the Collector's Bundle would only be $10 at 75% off. Cheaper to wait for a Steam sale and get everything in the Tropico 4 Collector's Bundle then.

It's available only to those that invested in the "Double Fine Adventure" kickstarter campaign OR bought the game as a late backer for 35 bucks.

The current Double Fine Humble Bundle gives both the Game (Broken Age) and access to all the documentaries if you buy it for more than 35 dollars, along with all the other games in the Bundle.

Pretty sure that Tropico 4 Collector's Bundle was like $10 (or even less with a code IIRC) on GMG recently. So that bundle really isn't worth it unless you plan to play Tropicos 1-3, and from what I hear 4 is basically an improved version of 3.

Coincidentally, Game Music bundle have announced a "Retro game music bundle" coming May 23rd. I think it'll 5 albums as in their latest tweek they say (emphasis mine) "We would love to know what you think the 5 albums will be. Find hints at http://gamemusicbundle.com #retroGMB"

groupees just put up a be mine 8 page
it's looking like Constant C and Fairy Bloom Freesia will be part of it, though no games are confirmed at this time.

Teaser video is up.

From that, we can infer that the initial games are:

*Fairy Bloom Freesia
*Constant C
*Slam Bolt Scrappers
*A Blood Bowl game (I'm guessing Legendary Edition and not Chaos Edition based on the precedents of Be Mine offering Tropico 3 and Worms Reloaded instead of Tropico 4 and Worms Revolutions)
*Paranautical Activity
*Patrician IV
*Drakensang

Then it'll be worth it for Drakensang alone

I really wanted Slam Bolt. It reminds me of Fortress for the GBA.

Hey, that's a bunch of games I don't own. And I even recognize a couple of them!

Sure, why not.

I don't ever use Desura, I have a shitload of games that are registrable on Desura. I wonder if I should register them all...

Spend your free time doing anything else.

i hope Ether Vapor is one of the bonus games...

do it! desura is a nice service. i have probably around 100 games from indie bundles on desura that aren't even on steam... lots of great stuff among them!

I quickly let that idea go when I noticed that hey, I don't ever use desura.

I put 45% of the blame on morningbus though.

well, of course you don't use it, you have no games registered there ;)

i also only use it to manage / download most of my none steam games, i start the client or download something over the webpage maybe once a week at most...

Humble Double Fine Bundle added the prototypes from the last Double Fine Amnesia Fortnight.

thats kind of disappointing

They could have ported Middle Manager of Justice to other platforms. Or maybe released The Cave.

I knew about Middle Manager, and even joked about them adding it a few days ago in the official Bundle thread, but I didn't want to lose the power of saying literally.

The Cave is published by Sega and realistically had no chance of appearing in the bundle.

Iron Brigade ?

Published by Microsoft.

I think Iron Brigade is a Microsoft joint. I don't think they have much say on where that goes to sale and when.

At least not yet anyway.
It was in a bundle for $5 together with Twisted Shadow Planet, Deadlight, Mark of the Ninja and Toy Soldiers at Amazon.

It should be added that the Amnesia Fortnight games are pretty great. I really hope Autonomous and Hack n Slash get fleshed out into full games.
