Indie Bundle Thread - There's another one?

for some reason the page doesnt load when i click on the paypal button @ sherlock bundle. any idea whats wrong?

EDIT: nevermind got it. u have to click at the games lol

Beware about the Sherlock Holmes games as some of them on Steam have nasty TAGES DRM that gets installed along with, Steams store page isn't clear about the DRM used, but most of them do have TAGES.

If someone purchased all of the indie bundles released since HIB1/IR1 that contained Steam games, paid the exact minimum for each (paying BTA if that game never showed up in subsequent bundles, or not paying BTA if it did--basically that they were able to predict the future and know the best way to buy as cheaply as possible) how many games would they have, and how much would they have spent?

As long as you don't mind playing them outside of Steam, each of the entries in the bundle seems to have a DRM-free equivalent included as well. Good to note about the existing DRM on the Steam versions, though.

Well, Steam search returns the following (Metascore 70+, keyword light):
http://store.steampowered.com/search/?sort_by=Metascore&sort_order=ASC&metascore=70&term=light

Possible candidates that fit the "light" clue, imho:
Lumines
The Darkness 2
Closure

Edit: The title "Closure" would fit the mystery game cover being revealed so far (as long as the artist manages to fit an "E" in the end after the "R"):

FTL: Faster Than Light!

Mark of the Ninja could also fit for Light. But Will and Man... damn those are hard.

EDIT: Maybe i have it. Seems to be Eador. This small thing looks like a hand with a ring on it. And if you think about the clues it would fit. You have light, a will (magic) and a man. And it has EXACTLY Metascore of 70.

well lets do a quick estimate
i am counting 41 indie royale bundles, i think 1 was a repeat so far so 40 bundles, with on average 6 games in them so 240 games each bundle at $4 so $160

humble bundle quick count around 25 bundles with games (including weekly bundles) lets call it an average of 5 games per bundle and assume an average BTA of $5 so you would have 125 games for $125 there with some minor overlap with indie royale

groupees you have like 20 bundles with games with like 10 games in each of them on average and like an average price of like $4 for all of the games so around 200 games for $80

im sure there have been other bundles as well and my numbers aren't perfect (if someone wants to put more than 10 minutes of effort go ahead :P) but just looking at those 3 it looks like you would have spent around $365 and would have around 565 games

man.... i bought most of those... my backlog must be bigger than i thought it was ><:

Would be awesome

In Reus, you control powerful giants that help you shape the planet to your will. You can create mountains and oceans, forests and more. Enrich your planet with plants, minerals and animal life. There is only one thing on the planet that you do not control: mankind, with all their virtues and and all their vices. You can shape their world, but not their will

Metacritic = 76%

And you play as a god, so ummm..."Let there be light", I guess?

There's 4 gods in Reus, there's a 4 in the artwork. And of course there's an R as well.

So, which two are the best of those? I've never played any of them, but for $1.50 I can't say no!

Actually, if no one answers I may just buy some Legacy of Kain games @ GMG. Decisions, decisions...

I'd go with Awakened and then either Dracula: Origins or Nemesis. Dracula is probably better, but it has a few puzzles that are annoying as hell, and kinda drag down the whole experience unless you're really hardcore into puzzles. They're randomized too, so no GameFAQs for you!

According to this TAGES was patched out of the Steam version. Can anyone confirm? Bought the entire bundle for my GF, but if it still has TAGES I'll download the DRM-free version.

Honestly, if it were me I would just go with the Legacy of Kain games if I had to choose between the two. The two Soul Reaver games are great.

Woah, Awakened is about the Cthulhu mythos? Awesome.

I'll take a look at the rest, but I'll pick Dracula: Origins, too. It doesn't matter if I didn't play the games before Awakened to understand the plot, right? (I don't know if there are references to older titles in the games).

That wouldn't make much sense, Reus launched less than a fortnight ago.

Anodyne appeared in a Groupees bundle just two weeks after being released on Steam. BELIEVE.

Yeah, but what if there's a bundle with all the Legacy of Kain games for a couple of bucks down the road? I can wait, in fact, I actually own Soul Reaver 1 for PC but I refuse to install it since I can't activate it on Steam :P

They're all self-contained. Some trinkets from past cases show up in Holmes' office, but I think that's pretty the extent of their connection.

Clue 5- “Indie”

Hm

So that makes: Clue 1- Steam Game, Meta of 70 or More; Clue 2- Light; Clue 3- Will; Clue 4- Man?; Clue 5- “Indie”

If anyone got HIB8, what is the key distribution (one key for the entire bundle, separate keys, etc)? I already got Hotline Miami and I'm not sure I want to BTA for Proteus...

For the bitcoin bundle... do any of the bitcoin providers accept paypal at all? I created a wallet on blockchain.info but it needs me to go to CVS and the like. (or can I paypal anyone here to transfer .01 to my wallet?)

I bought Proteus outside of the bundle and I don't regret it. Taking into account my recommendations from the Indie Thread you know what it might mean for you;)

I had no doubt you'd love it. :D But yeah, considering our diametrally opposite tastes, if anything it makes me more wary. :D

I played it for 20 seconds said 'wtf is this shit' and uninstalled it.

It was not a love at the first sight for me too. I started to appreciate it with time, observing how the world changes with every season passed has a certain charm to it. Just don't expect any traditional game there and you should be fine.
