Indie Bundle Thread - There's another one?

According to this TAGES was patched out of the Steam version. Can anyone confirm? Bought the entire bundle for my GF, but if it still has TAGES I'll download the DRM-free version.

a developer in the steam forums claims it was patched out for all the sherlock games through Jack The Ripper. I was rather bummed to find out Testament (not included in this bundle) has some sort of 5 machine limit though, even though it isn't mentioned on the steam store nor enhanced steam. Although the devs claim it too will be patched out once it becomes "outdated"

great value there given that the series of games rarely go below $7.50 on their own (such as back to the future, or sam and max)

Insanity :|

Sam & Max is great, btw!

DAYUM. I must have bought like three or four Indie Royales just for the Telltale games, and I've only beaten TWD and both Puzzle Agents... :(

It's a shame Jurassic Park isn't there, too :lol

Apparently the mystery game is going to be Dawn of Fantasy: Kingdom Wars, I guess IR done goofed with the picture upload when then bundle went live and some people say that Dawn of Fantasy was shown instead of Forge, then it got removed. Dawn of Fantasy also sucks, its like a 20$ facebook game that makes you buy in game turns in order to build and whatnot with real money, also it's buggy with all the indie jank that you'd come to expect.

Why is it called Capsule Computers when not a single game in there is from Capcom (obviously)? :P

It's a bit of a shame, because I have all games except Tower Rush, but Tower Rush kind of interest me. Anyone played it?

So the Retro Game Music Bundle has just less than 4 days to go.

If you did not already get it you now won't get the Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem II, Major Stryker, Cosmo’s Cosmic Adventure, or NUKEM 3D: Remixes albums as there is some sort of copyright dispute.

It seems level 2 got Nimble Quest, Potatoman seeks the troof and pixel perfect macro added though.

Well, that'll teach me for not buying it earlier.

I've been buying lots of bundles recently and since most of them come with Steam keys, I got curious about something. How much do the developers have to give to Valve for each Steam key?
It just seems like Valve wouldn't want to give away free Steam keys that take away from sales on its service, so they must cost something.

Anybody know how it works? It's not important obviously but I'm just curious.

You get a LOT when you first make the game. Like a few thousand. If you want more, you pay a heavily discounted price.

You sure about that? I'm reasonably certain Feep said the 5000 copies he gave away on GAF were free, and the Fairie Solitaire guys have given away tens of thousands of keys.

Yeah, as far as I know devs can get an unlimited supply of keys for free whenever they request them to Valve.

They get more people, both devs and consumers, using Steam that way. Win/win.

I would have thought that given the popularity of bundles now, there would be quite a few people who have 100+ games none of which have been actually bought through steam.

I'd be interested to know how much a person like that would need to spend on steam before Valve considered it a worthwhile investment?

I wonder about that as well. But I guess once you have that many games on Steam (no matter where they are from) you are so heavily tied to Steam that you are really unlikely to never do business with them. which is what counts for them.

On the other hand I have noticed that I rarely buy games at Steam anymore (because it´s often cheaper elsewhere) so I keep wondering if Valve will eventually step in and restrict free keys for developers.

Bundle Stars #8: Atomic Indie - $5.00
