I know already that I'm going to be disappointed by the end sum since those guys really do deserve a lot, lot more. I continue to be impressed by how they're tweaking the look of game without derogating what seemed initially like a perfect harmony between mechanics and visuals.

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...

huh? Why? They'll easily make the 100k in one week. Add a few nice stretch goals on top and we are looking at 150-200k. What is so disappointing about that?

I'm ashamed to say it took me some time to understand the last part of your post Toma. xD

:p

I think they deserve more, ok! Just let me be unreasonable for a second here :p

(200k would make me very happy.)

Always Sometimes Monsters and Transistor look SWEET. I got sent a preview copy of A Story About My Uncle so I'm going to check that out tomorrow on my day off.

New Greenlight batch!

Another Perspective, Clark, Flying Hamster II, Four Sided Fantasy, Ghost Song, Shiness, Ubinota, Noir Syndrome and others

I didn't expect to be reminded of Ubinota of all games. Always wanted to check it out. Any impressions?

Where Is My Heart? is coming to PC and Mac on May 27th, with a Linux version soon after. This game has been available on PSN for awhile now. Hope more people will check out, a really fun game. And it's made by Die Cute Fabrik, who did Johann Sebastian Joust.

It's Die gute Fabrik, not Die süße Fabrik. ;)

I definitely remember this game, but lacked the platform to check it out.

Ah ha! Excellent

O_O

Sunless Sea looks intriguing, how this game was not on my radar I have no idea.

Perish's visuals are stunning and kind remind me of Shelter and Proteus, in the indiegogo page it says the developer has been working in the game for an year and self-funded it until now, anyway it's on my radar now.

I missed the KS for Sunless Sea but I've been watching it since - ALL over it the second it hits early access though.

Perish and Sunless Sea both look crazy good. The latter excites me greatly.

Yeah, I noticed that. I remember it being part of a game jam and I enjoyed the prototype. I'll probably get this soon.

Be sure to let us know if you got much more out of it than the prototype was able to provide.

Are you going to write an article about it?

I'm gonna check what/if the NDA is on it first. But yeah - if I get the go ahead.

The trailer made the act of actually swinging look really weightless and boring, so I'm looking forward to being proven wrong if it's that good.

I can understand that - the tutorial area is a little slow, but the opportunity is there (and actively encouraged in the Time Trial mode which isn't open in the preview build) to fly through these areas with some serious momentum.

I think the slow pace is intentional though - this is a beautiful game, so rich with imagination it'd be a shame to miss so much your first time through.

Rich with imagination in regard to what? Level design? Art style? Interesting use of the mechanics? Story?

I wholeheartedly recommend Icarus Proudbottom, comedic games that work are fairly rare these days and this one nails it.

All of the above.

I'm a big fan of games that free themselves of any sort of shackles with regards to world building - but create their own logic and rules. The gameplay mirrors that as well; the freedom of movement is a joy, and I said above there's an allowance for speedrunning should you fancy it.

I can't speak much for the story - the preview build offers a little intro but there's a section cut mid way through that I'd imagine to be a bit more "story heavy" that they're trying to keep under wraps.

This is beautiful to look at though - so abstract as well.

What you're saying definitely piques my interest. The gameplay trailer made it look like its putting a lot of focus on the platforming, which didn't look that great to me. And I'm not looking for a platformer to master, but merely one that's responsive and provides some form of feedback with a mechanic like it does. Coffee Stain studios has yet to impress me in the past too. But I've agreed with you on numerous other things before, so I'm holding out some hope now.

Oh my, clicking through the free indie games in the OP and The Last Night is fucking amazing for the short tech demo it is.

Seriously talented pixel artist on that one, will definitely look out for their game proper that's in development right now.
