My amazon.com preorder I just made yesterday just shipped :D

Ugh, looks like I'm screwed on Release Date Delivery. This reminds me of RE5. They didn't offer Release Date Delivery on the CE, but they shipped em early and I got my copy a day before the release date. Now I'm on the opposite side of the coin :/

I really thought the intro section was pretty sloppy. His limping is not well done at all, and it moves at too high of a speed(regardless of analog input) Also, his jumping and agility in general dont fit well with his "oh my im hurt" theme...its all very sloppy imo, and reminded me of GTA, only not as terrible. I wish they would have just left it out...if i didnt have access to the demo and that was my first impression, i would have been thoroughly disappointed.

Luckily after that, it all goes back to normal and feels great again.

in before "lol gameysradar"

in before "BIASED!" (and all iterations of said phrase, including "it's a PS3 exclusive, what do you expect" and further iterations of that)

Amazon just shipped my copy.. Thank god for the BD scratch protection, it won't be scratched up like my Punch-Out copy was when it came in.

WTF!
They haven't sent mine out yet. ><

Man, everyone on the Listen Up podcast today seems to really enjoy this, everything I read or hear about this game only increases my hype for it. The 26th can't come soon enough.:D

Glad I have Punch-Out!! to play tell then, or I'd be going nuts! Haven't been this excited for a game since, well, Punch-Out!!. :D

I just beat the demo and holy crap, this game is awesome. My expectations were lowered a bit because of some complaints about the graphics and the controls, but I found both of those aspects were extremely well done. Congrats, Sucker Punch. Even though whether or not the game will be a hit sales wise remains to be seen, the game turned out great, and any success they have with it is truly deserved.

My copy was scratched and needed to be sent back to Amazon, so I AM going nuts. :*(

I just played the demo again and traversing the city feels great. This time I spent as much time as they would allow me to explore. Once you get to the top of the higher buildings you really get into a good rhythm and make some good time.

Yeah, I have no idea what the big deal is with the graphic complaints, and especially the control complaints. I found it to be really nice graphically(only issue is the framerate) and the controls is pretty damn spot on, especially considering the other open world competition.

PLayed the demo last night. First impressions was "Fuck this looks like a PS2 game"

Started enjoying the game though so I can put my technical dissapointments aside.

The graphics aren't great, but honestly, it's pretty good for an open-world, "sandbox" action game.

Would I have loved it if SP added 8X AA, higher texture details, and better framerate (which isn't even that bad)? Yeah, sure. But the game doesn't suffer much without all the eye-candy people have been bitching about.

I was wondering when their review would go up.

His review pretty much matched my impressions of the demo exactly. My only real concern was that it might get old over the full game but his review addressed that concern directly. There's nothing to worry about apparently.

It's a shame that I won't be able to pick it up for the 3 day weekend.

What's the biggest building in the game and what's it like climbing up it? Hard? Awesome? Cool view? Trophy? Do you need special abilities to make it up there? Smaller or bigger than the one in Crackdown? I can't stop thinking about climbing big buildings.

Same here!

I'm surprised it won't arrive on Monday if it shipped today though.
Mine actually should be coming on Monday.. I figured they would send it Ground or 2-Day but it went out Next Day Air :D

Just watched the Giant Bomb quick look and I will be buying this. Looks awesome.

Honestly, I think that video is better than any advertisement or review. It really got me pumped for the game when I was still a bit on the fence.

On the controls. I think infamous is to crackdown as uncharted is to gears of war. Some areas are improved on and refined (eg climbing in infamous and close quarters combat in uncharted). Other areas feel a little rougher (eg shooting in uncharted and melee in infamous).

Pluses and minuses in any case. Theyre all four good games.

But fwiw, Infamous looks like good fun based on the demo.

Co-op aside, I find the inFAMOUS demo to already be quite better than Crackdown. The actual combat, challenge, platforming, superhero abilities. This game is pretty fun.
