The hell, bestbuy.ca gives you the strat guide free with the game! Fuck, I am going to try and switch my unopened UFC for it, hopefully I get the guide too. Only problem is I dont have a receipt for UFC D:

The one that comes to my mind is Syphon Filter 2. They would play that one like 5 times a day during this one game show.
 
Does anybody read german (I think it is?), according to Playstation Lifestyle there are no plans for DLC or multiplayer for Infamous.

Here's the source they provided - Source - Is the site legit?
Disappointing to hear even though it's a meaty game as is.

You know, I'm getting real sick of developers blabbering on about about DLC before or right after a game has been released. So if that's true, then I'm honestly happy to hear it. Give me a whole game for a change.

Not when when/if I finish and would like to experience more finely crafted experiences, not necessarily immediately after the game is out ( I hate that DLC on the disc shit) but eventually. So yeah an extra 5-10 bucks for some extra side missions/moves wouldn't be bad. If you like a game why limit your experience to just whats on the disc if the developer is willing to make more content.
 
damn, I was planning to play the good hero for my first playthrough, but I accidentally choose infamous in one of the later mission (I think it's later, it's shortly after I get into 3rd island).

normally this won't bother me since I'm still on the level 3 good karma, but I think this mission is the branching point for the story. now I have to make sure on my second evil playthrough to get full infamous except in this one story mission to probably get the other story.
 
Can't believe how solid Sony's first parties this gen have become this gen. They really are top class, and InFAMOUS is clearly a top game worthy of its high metacritic score.

It's easily the best playing sandbox game I've ever played. I cannot go back to the shit combat/controls of other overrated sandbox games in comparison.

exactly what i was thinking. Its like GTA and saints row have trained us to think "its ok to have wonky combat mechanics or level design because hey its an open worl game"
 
Wow...what a great ad.

The "PlayStation" voice really brings me back to the good old days when people liked PlayStation. Hopefully Sony can save their image with some creative marketing like this.

saw the commercial in front of star trek the other night. finally sony is pushing their advertising, and a well done commercial for this game as well :)

Sony's too far out of it to win, but I don't think it's a stretch to say that "PS3 owners" are winning.
 
Man, this game did a good job of pissing me the fuck off tonight.

It started on my hunt for the final 14 Blast Shards... found 13... the final one could be ANYWHERE. I swear I've searched all 3 islands completely and have not found that final one.

Second, I think I'm on the final mission (no spoilers, don't worry) and the fucking thing asks me to "overload this object with energy". Um.. okay. Pew pew lightning? Nothing. Grenades? Nothing. Rockets? Nothing. Overload Burst (it says overload in the damn name!)? NOTHING!
So, what exactly was the game asking for?

The damn lightning storm that you wouldn't think in a million years you'd have to specifically use for a mission!

I hate mission design like this.
 
I'm just posting so that I can find this page at a later date quickly.

There are no specifics in my post aside from the power you have to use. Hardly a spoiler.. but either way, don't worry, I was wrong - it's not the final mission (and it doesn't seem like this next one is the final one either).
 
The commercial aired at least three times during WWE Monday Night Raw. It's certainly one of the best game ads that Sony has aired in the last year, and the nostalgic "PlayStation" voice at the end was a sweet touch.

I was worried that Sony wouldn't be marketing this game effectively, but I'd say this is a good start. I hope that it gets the strong sales that it deserves.

I'm an Australian and have managed to snag myself an early copy of Infamous, but the problem is that I have a copy which is currently being shipped to me.

This means I will have 2 copies. Which is just silly, even for an awesome game.

I'm looking to sell of my additional copy, which I have bought for $85.00 AUD, for the princely sum of $85.00 if you are in Melbourne, Australia and could pick the game up (I work in the CBD and live in Hawthorn East) or 89 dollars including postage.

The game is due to arrive on Monday 1 June or Tuesday 2 June (next week). So I can sell it on either of those 2 days, which will be at least one day before the official release and I think $89 is the cheapest price the game can be bought for anyway, locally (at JB?).

So if you want to get a brand , new sealed copy of the game for the cheapest local price at least one or two days before the release date, please PM me. I am desperate to get rid of my extra copy.
 
If anyone has an Uncharted 2 Beta code extra (1 from qore, 1 from the game), I would be very grateful if I could get that. (JoJo13, Totobeni... I know previously in the thread you guys offered to help, I'll keep in touch with you guys. :D )
