Well, the (lack of) marketing for KZ2 has been discussed to death in several other threads.
Best not bring it in here.

I played the demo last night and that's was pretty much exactly my train of thought. Graphics are largely forgettable, other than some good particle effects, but its funny how little it already matters when you're more than one minute in the game. I completely forgot that there's visible aliasing as soon as I started playing it. Controls are spot on, for both shooting and sense of physical control over the character for a game like this where you want to quickly get places without missing a beat. I also have to commend comic book style cutscenes that have great writing and voice work._leech_ said:Finally installed the demo. First impression that popped in my head... damn, this game needs some AA. Other than that, i'm loving the demo. I love how they implemented land assist, it always seems like when i'm jumping i'm always landing exactly where I intend to. Very nice.
Lord Error said:The game is really much more fun than I thought it would be. It probably is the most fun and quailty superhero game there is. Still, I'm very skeptical that any open world game can hold my interest for long. Then again, this is fun, and it comes with Uncharted 2 beta. Decisions...
Revolutionary said:Okay, is there something I'm missing with the save system or what?
I finished a mission earlier, a long one, saved as soon as the next Day began, and quit out. I load up, and it puts me back to where I was BEFORE I did the mission, as if I didn't do it at all.
This is the SECOND time this has happened to me, so I ask: what the fuck??
The manual says the game saves at regular intervals/checkpoints and all - I did an ENTIRE mission, and got up to the next part of the story, but the autosave didn't save any of my progress!!! Arghh
EschatonDX said:I just played the demo. Wonderful. I don't see why everyone is upset about AA and jaggies though, it didn't look overly aliased to me.
:lolFacism said:Didn't bother me either on my 40"penis
When I said "I saved as soon as the next Day began", I meant saved manually.BeeDog said:Earlier in this topic someone explicitly said you HAVE to save the game manually before quitting if you don't want that to happen.

Zen said:Having played the demo, something I didn't like was how sticky your character could be to grapple points and ledges. Often I'd be trying to jump down to the street and have to detach from something two time before I hit the bottom. I'd sort of like it if the game had a button you could hold down or something to not attach to anything if you didn't want to.
A few others have suggested this as well. I hope SP patches it in, its the only time when you feel you have to fight the controls, everything else is so well done.Zen said:Having played the demo, something I didn't like was how sticky your character could be to grapple points and ledges. Eh thats more a workaround than anything else.DeadGzuz said:Like the square?
Thank God the demo really told the story of the full game. Why no score for this small snippet of the game? I know it's only an hour demo but that should be good enough.Ponn01 said:Well crap in a hat. I played the demo and thought it was ok but not something I wanted to buy. Well I forgot I had preordered it a week ago at Walmart.com and I went to cancel it but they already shipped it out.
I guess i'm going to be putting a sealed copy of this up in the buy sell thread by the end of the week. It's alright just not really into it. Maybe I will give the demo another whirl later. I hate to say it just right now i'm more excited for Cross Edge.

They should've packaged the demo at 60 dollars then.guggnichso said:Well it does. inFamous demo does a great job in showing exactly how the final game plays out. Chances are that if you don't like the demo, you won't like the full game either.
Based on the demo, I have no doubt that this is a high quality game, but I have to be very careful about any free roaming game - they almost as a rule never hold my attention for very long.Click said:Just about every (reasonable, non-biased) critic who's played through the entire game has said it's held their interest and was really fun.
Shinjitsu said:You sir, are a fucking idiot and need to go back and look at some PS2 games.
Even the best looking PS2 games (God of War 2) don't look as good as this.
So tired of bullshit troll posts like this on GAF.

I don't want to get in the way of a conversation that is so above me, but you could've just said that the first time. :lolSurfheart said:I guessed you missed the quotes around my comment. I'd not read any reviews, impressions or anything about this game, just came in cold and played the demo. I thought, "PS3 exclusive = visually this is going to be special" Guess I had my expectations set too high.
But thanks, for the personal attack you fucking cunt.

What's this from??
Sounds like NY to me. Every tom, dick and harry has a camera in this city. Taking close up, black and white shots of Stop signs and shit.Xal-Shoota said:EDIT: One weird thing though, was the freakishly high amount of people that happened to have cameras on them. I swear 1/4 people in InFamous are freelance photographers.:lol

Offscreen shots hide the jaggies.neojubei said:Not sure how anyone can say this game looks bad. Took pics from another forum.
BobTheFork said:Yeah, don't be fooled; Even if you don't see jaggies in stills or while playing, they are there and they ruin the game.
