Both my copies from Gamestop had the red beta voucher sticker indicating that. On the outside of the wrap.

I don't think Best Buy does. There was a sticker on the shrink wrap at Gamestop.
 
Can someone tell me if the multiplayer voucher is in the box or not. I just picked up my game and it has the sticker but was I supposed to receive a voucher code?
 
I just saw the game at Best Buy and can confirm that it comes with the Uncharted 2 beta. It has a sticker on the outside saying so.
 
Damn, my importer got inFAMOUS ... without the U2 BETA :/

I bought mine at a small video game store (no franchise) in Toronto, I didn't pre-order, and the voucher for Uncharted 2 is there.
 
played for about an hour....soooo much better than the demo. the feeling of leveling up and story are freaking great, i was expecting just an open world romp with super powers from the time with the demo, but it's much more than that i can already tell.

and i got a u2 code without preordering, noice.
 
Despite my gripes with the save system and the cutscenes being unskippable, I'm having a great time.

Been collecting battery shards and the data drop things all afternoon Crackdown style, though it's a hell of a lot easier thanks to the radar blips.

Unlocking stunts is really fun for me, as is the upgrade system, though I'm hoping to see some running speed upgrades unlocked later on.

If you reserved at Gamestop you got an extra voucher for a multiplayer demo from 8/19 to 9/18 of later this year.
 
Gamefly shipped inFAMOUS to me today.

I have a $10 Memorial weekend coupon that expires tomorrow, plus $5 GF as well as 5% off. After all that I can get the game for $37 after tax.

That $10 coupon expires tomorrow, and I'm sitting here debating on if I should jump on this and get what is essentially a brand new game for $37 or just hold off and play the game to my hearts content before sending it back.

Hmm.
 
I've been playing it for about 3 hours now and I've got to say it's a lot of fun. I don't even have many of the good powers and I'm having a blast scaling buildings, finding shards, killing those mofo's in red hoodies, and doing sidequests.

I do have a question though: Do the good sidequests open up randomly? I've been doing the neutral ones, and I've only found 2 good ones so far.


So yea, the game is awesome as predicted and if you don't have it you should buy it.


EDIT - Btw, it has one of the worst booklets ever. A few pages of instructions then a huge gap with white pages and then a few more pages, lulz.

I'm liking the game so far. It feels a good deal like Crackdown but in a much more realistic setting and designed much better. God I want to glide/fly so bad right now though.
 
Bummer, I picked Keep It on Rune Factory to free open a slot for this but they didn't send it out and now availability is Low. :( Oh well, keeping my fingers crossed.

Really? I thought those were normal packages (the ones with Uncharted 2 beta sticker on the front of the case).

I know you get the gigawatt blades as a preorder gift. Besides it's inside the box isnt it?

That sucks. I upgraded to the 3 game plan from 2 late afternoon yesterday and was able to get them to send it out to me today.

I thought you could skip the cutscenes? I remember in the demo, mashing a bunch of buttons would skip it...is the retail version different?

Wait, what? I think I am misunderstanding this. All I know is all the copies given out at the GS around here, regardless of reservation or not, have that U2 beta code in them.

Preorder delivery date guarantee was plastered all over the screen at Amazon.com o.0 Its the only reason I preordered from there.

Thats what I was told too. Every version we got (we only have like 5 preorders, yet got about 10+ copies) had the Uncharted 2 beta offer on the front.

If you dont get a U2 beta voucher and you buy Infamous during this month...or maybe whenever, you need to contact someone about it.

Ahh too bad (for me, great for you!). I did it over the weekend so I thought I'd be okay but apparently not. Maybe I'll get Punch Out instead which is fine also, but unless I get lucky then I doubt I'll get to play this any time soon.
 
I just took a better look at the two different UC2 cards I got ( one in the box and one exclusive for GS). The one in the box is for the beta in June. The GS exclusive is for a muliplayer demo and bonus items in Aug/Sept.

So the second UC2 card has the code for the gigawatt blade GS item on it as well? Haha, I am so confused.
 
I really think this is the best PS3 game out there now, at least for me. I have a hardon for sandbox games though so I guess I'm biased.
My only complaint thus far is the voice acting, especially the main character... it's overacted so when trying to sound mean and edgy he just comes off sounding more like a douchebag.
Not really a big deal but it's the one thing that stands out as annoying.

Otherwise the presentation is great, graphics look good, the gameplay is varied, even so early in the game where I don't have all of the weapons (at least compared to the demo anyway).

I guess I wasn't happy about having an install but it went fast enough that I wasn't irritated by it. No idea how big it is though.

Hmm the card I got for the gigawatt blades is only for the gigawatt blades and nothing else. I picked up my card before the game's release date though. Going to pick the game up tomorrow.
