So I went to redeem my Gigawatt Blade code and when I tried taking off the sticker covering the number on the back, it ripped the first two digits off the last third off into oblivion, so I have no idea what it should be. Has anyone had this problem? Am I out of luck or I could I call Sony? I noticed that there is a unique 6-number code on the bottom right of the card, maybe that would help?

i did the same exact thing, except I ripped half of it off. it was still stuck to the sticker so I managed to get it off after come careful peeling

Ugh, I think I'm right at the end of the game (just got the "Good Sphere" trophy), and I can't figure out how to get the trophy where you clear out the Historic District. I don't have the trophy, there's still a red area, but my save lists me as 84 of 84 districts. Anyone know?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but for whatever reason I don't have the search option for either the forums or the threads. Was this removed from Junior Members for some reason?

You just need to beat the game. Once it kicks you back into the city, you'll see it pop up.

Search and other functions (like OT ;)) are removed for E3 to keep the GAF server more or less limping along.

Don't worry about ending the game, once you complete the main story as ppl have mentioned you get to keep playing and can finish all side missions etc. If you have a few small red areas and don't see any side missions on your map it's probably a Hidden Item, just go to the area and see if there are any enemies. There is probably a small group of enemies there waiting, defeat them and one will drop the hidden package quest.

You're missing two digits. That's only 100 combinations. It would probably be easier just to try guessing them.

Yup, just beat it after posting that and it popped up.

Now it's time for my hard evil playthrough - thankfully I got all the stunts, collections, etc. done - not having to use a grid search for a few remaining shards or screw around trying to get a stunt will be so nice.

Ah, good to know.

Holy shit at that ending. I just beat it on good. Can someone clarify something for me?
Kessler came back to kill Trish and make sure his past self is powerful enough to stop who? Zeke? I'm confused..

Just finished on my good run, got all dead drops and all the stunts, still looking for 13 shards, what an epic game. Methinks I played on hard.

Big monster we haven't seen for real yet.

Ah gotcha, thanks..

I can't wait to play through again on evil, what an amazing game. I hope Crackdown 2 incorporates some stuff from this. I cant wait for the sequel. It would be cool if Sucker Punch did something similar to Insomniac and released some episodic content but tied them into your existing city/save files.

I don't know what is going on here-

I've done about 3 "good" missions, and have taken the "good" path on about 6 sub-missions, and my alignment meter hasn't budged at all. Is this a bug?

EDIT: I've already gotten to "champion". The meter stopped moving/filling up about 3 hours ago even though I did a lot of good things.

Also, what is the difference between the white arrow on the alignment bar and the white fill-in on it?

If I'm not mistaken, SP mentioned they aren't working on any DLC. But who knows.

2 more shards...Wonder if I can find these suckers before I have to leave for E3 in 3 hours.

EDIT: Holy crap the last 2 were right next to each other :lol YES!

Time to get EVIL.

I have a prediction for the sequel which seems to me is the likliest way for the sequel to go with this story. And bear with me.

So we already know Kessler is Cole from the future and that he came back in time to stop cole from being a pussy like he was, and that to do that he had to turn himself into the ultimate badass.

Well, for me it doesn't matter which ending happens at the end because even if Trish is dead and you were a good guy, you will become Kessler.

But, if you were a bad guy and you are evil you become the Beast.

Basically, like all time travel stories InFamous will be awesome and also be so full of plot holes it'll funny. You see, as a good guy Kessler ran away and came back in time to train Cole for the future. This backfires because killing Trish turned him into the beast, so he goes forward in time to stop Kessler coming back in time to stop himself from becoming the Beast so instead he can becomes Kessler.

That all makes sense in my head.

On evil on warren there's a side mission thats better for farming.
It's having you follow the reaper conduits. The conduits will go to a rooftop with about 20-30 Sandman. Just kill most as much as you can and die. The spawn point is right next to the battle spot.

You are both wrong best mission is the story mission Vengeance.

When you are on the third substation and everyone starts bum rushing you, they always come from the same spot. First there will be the six invisible guys, then two rushes from the northwest section(based off of facing towards the invisible guys). Then the truck from behind, then two rushes from the northeast, and then another truck from the same spot as the last rush. Then a rush from the southeast.

Trick to grinding is to kill everyone but the second truck, so as the final and last rush comes, you'll end up killing them before they get close, but the turret truck will finish you off before the substation gets to 100% capacity and ending the mission. Die, and the game loads you up right at the beginning with the 6 invisible guys spawning. I got about 5/700EXP every time thanks to getting Suspended Sentence stunt at least 4 times each go around and the 5-in one shot on every rush.

Plus it's super easy to kill during that mission because they give the best thing in the game for it and unlimited use of it.

*shrugs*

Hard is piece of cake in this game. The only part that gave me trouble was the last boss, but compared to Radec on Veteran it was a walk in the park anyway :P

Oh and the destroy the police station mission when going Evil. Those cops have awesome aim.

Best hard ever because of it. To me, it wasn't the difficulty that was "easy" it was the great checkpoint system. I died plenty of times, but the game (thankfully) puts you almost right back where you left off. That way, all you have to focus on is finding out what you did wrong the first time and try to leanr from it to do it better next time. Much better than the. Well you made one mistake 15 minutes into a mission, here start back at the beginning you fuck.

At least, that's just me.

Oh yes. Checkpoint system is perfect in this game. Perfect.

Wait which mission asks you to change your difficulty...I don't think I got it yet on my second playthrough :( might have to restart to get the hard. Still early though.

The first food one. Just manually change yours from the start. That's what I did.

I was asked to change difficulty as soon as I got back after meeting the FBI bitch (after the under the bridge platform part basically). I was awarded the Hard trophy btw, even tho I didn't select Hard from start myself.

I have five shards left. It feels impossible to find them right now, I feel like I've searched every inch of all three islands multiple times. Once I get those I'm playing again on Evil.

Yeah I must have been playing sloppy becasue I didn't get bumped up after meeting Moya, Oh well just restarted and changed it manually after the blast.

It happens after climbing the tower and protecting the food. Depending on how fast you kill everyone, it changes your difficulty.

For those who have beaten the game, how do you get a good finish? I just beat it, and it said my actions have made me more evil :(

You can start the Evil playthrough no prob as long as u don't overwrite the "good" save.

I heard that you don't get the Hard trophy if you change the difficulty yourself (from the start or otherwise) unless the game asks you to change it, is that true? I hope I heard wrong cause that would suck.

If you change to hard manually before you leave the tutorial/crater, then you will get the trophy.

Also, someone chat with me about my speculations damn it. I want to talk more Infamous.

I changed it myself from the beginning and I got the hard trophy.

The arrow just points to the rank you're currently at (Guardian/Champion/Hero etc.), the white fill is how far you are through that rank.

I'm almost at the end of the Warren now and the story is really starting to get interesting.

I doubt it,
He wasn't really being a pussy, he did what most men/people would do, think about their loved ones first.

How Trish died is also important. This Cole won't become Kessler. Kessler had failed in alomst everything, losing his wife, not being a hero when he could have stopped the Beast.

You are not the beast when you are evil, the only things that change really if you get the infamous ending is that there is no hope for the city. And Trish's last words are of disgust and shame for you.

In the good ending, the city has hope left, you. Trish died, but she lived long enough to see you become a hero.

Kessler succeeded in the hero ending, i think he was sorta like the Boss in Mgs3. Doing, being evil for the sake of having good triumph. Kessler molded Cole into a hero that would be ready for when the Beast arrived. Having to kill thousends if not millions for it.

I think the good side ending will be the canon one followed up in the sequel, the bad ending just feels so fake and not that well done imo.

The following has probably been mentioned , but it just caught my eye...

When the game sets up your controls in the blast crater, the police helicopter switches it's attention from you to someone standing in the destroyed parking garage. Is that Kessler??

Does the hotfoot trophy where you have to ride rails for 25km for power lines? Because I just put Cole on the train tracks and let him grind for like 10 minutes and didn't get anything.

I'm guessing it's power lines..

I have the same suspicion too. It's like a feedback loop.

Is it worth it upgrading melee? Im' playing on Hard as evil Cole. Not sure I want to use the XP just for hitting dudes.

Depends really whether or not you like to do it up, close and personal. It's also very practical for the stunt with the same name. But other than that, other upgrades are better.

I upgraded it to the max (Hero), and it's well worth it for me. Then again, I like to get in people's faces while they unleash a stream of bullets in my general direction for extra pwnage.

I think the other skills are more useful, but it depends on your style.

Yeah it is power lines, which is annoying as the the trophy says 'rails'. I too spent a good 20 minutes non stop riding the train line before I realised what was wrong :lol

Yes!!!!

finally my UK Special Edition is here... well it was in my mailbox since yesterday but it was so hot outside I didn't bother checking :lol

had I known there was a patch coming to the PSN with the English track I would have bought the Spanish Special Edition last Wednesday since they were giving Uncharted 2 beta keys away with them... I blame GAF for this :p

quick dirty pic of the really nice looking package
