The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Jackal Assault VR Experience is a PlayStation VR mission that immerses you in the cockpit of a Jackal, the personal, multi-role fighter jet in the game. Take the controls and enjoy Call of Duty for the first time in virtual reality.

We’re also excited to announce that the Jackal Assault VR Experience will be available to all PS4 owners, not just for players who have purchased the game, as a free, added bonus on November 4. Just head to the PlayStation VR section of the PlayStation Store, and after selecting Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Jackal Assault VR Experience, follow the prompts to download and install. Please note that you will need PlayStation VR, sold separately, to play.

Awesome! Cool that it is it's own thing! :D

I think they might have made a mistake and meant all PS4 IW buyers but if not, this would be a pretty cool move by Activision.

I mean, they outright said "not just for players who have purchased the game" so I think that's what they meant.
Pretty cool of them.

EA, take note. Do the same with Battlefront's X-Wing mission.

I thought it was free?

"Those who bought PlayStation VR headsets, chances are a lot of you are looking forward to the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront VR content, Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission. While you do need Star Wars Battlefront to be able to play the VR experience (and of course, a PSVR), gamers will be able to play it for free come launch."

You need Battlefront to be able to play it, here you don't, hence the difference.

Pretty sure they announced that the X-Wing VR mission was going to be free from the very beginning.
See above.

Of all publishers Activision was the last one I'd imagine getting free stuff from.

Pretty nice gesture for us who aren't planning to buy the game

Fuck yes. Can't wait. Just got done playing some Rigs and Thumper. Sooo good.

I assume since IW/BO/MW all take advantage of PS4 Pro that this will as well?

Sounds great to me, even though it's probably only a 10-20 minute game and not that different from the EVE Valkyrie demo.

Savvy game buyers can probably find Star Wars Battlefront for less than $10, if you just want to try out the X-Wing VR mission.

It's 5 minutes long. You get a counter of how many kills you got during the mission.

I think it would have been quite easy to add more re-play-ability to it than that.

In the spanish store it says is for CoDIW players tho even if it's free for all.

"Asalto de Jackal, la primera experiencia con PlayStation®VR de Call of Duty®, estará disponible para los jugadores de Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare en PlayStation®4 de forma gratuita."

Just tried it.

It looks great, and it plays decently. It's essentially a single EVE dogfight with the addition of rez-style head-tracked, locking missiles.

It's easy but fun. AFAICT you can't actually get shot down, or at least there didn't seem to be any danger of it.

Also, the start button does nothing .. there are no options. To invert flight controls hit the square button.

I'll probably use it to demo my headset.

So ummm....

How do you pass the EULA Screen? 😂😂😂

I can't press X, just O. I it up online and I'm not the only one with this problem.

Some offered a solution but none of those worked.

Anybody else?

I managed to play this, holy shit was blah.

Almost as short as the Eve Valkyrie demo, and looks worse, glad it was free.
