On the topic of Green Lantern, he'll probably have colors to turn him into a member of all the other Corps. Probably no custom ending like for Yellow Lantern in the first game though.

Injustice's story mode luckily is pretty short. It took me a lot longer to beat arcade with all the characters. So the Yellow Lantern alt for Hal has a different story ending in that? What about John Stewart? I only played through the game with the default costumes for every character -except- for Cyborg Superman (who had the same ending as regular Supes).

No way they're getting Henry Cavill for this, and Brandon Routh is already playing another DC character on Legends of Tomorrow I believe.

Oh so a different victory animation. Gotcha. Cyborg Superman has his own victory bit as well, which is pretty cool.

That said, I can see them doing unique victory animations for semi-enhanced costumes like a Sinestro Hal Jordan.

I know I used to be against too many Batman reps, but it'd be pretty cool to get Penguin as a character. His short stature, swiss-army umbrella, potential float-unfloat mechanic--he'd be pretty unique. I remember the rampant rumors of his inclusion in the first Injustice.

Bane was fun, just didn't scale up in tier lists. I'm glad he's back. Maybe I'll play this game.

I dunno. NR doesn't seem to like repeat DLC, and I could see a previous character being paid DLC not going over too well with the general audience.

You might be overthinking it. Smash 4 & SFV had veterans as paid DLC and not many people complained.

• Cheetah (as leaked; it makes sense for Wonder Woman to have a wholly playable villain, and she could easily be made into a powerful feral warrior while Catwoman acquires a few new gadgets)

If those three characters are playable then there'd be a clean 50/50 split between veterans and newcomers and traditional heroes and villains.

I'm leaning towards it developing like this for the 31 slots on the website, based off 3 things.

1.) Cheetah/Catwoman and Freeze/Cold really aren't that similar. Freeze is a technological tank, Cold is a scoundrel, Catwoman is a graceful thief, Cheetah is a savage.

2.)

We weren't going to have a DC game without Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman. You have to have Luthor, you have to have Joker. All these guys.

3.) The mobile game leaker did not know about Darkseid, so presumably he could be in the dark about other characters from the console version. I guess just 1 more -- Luthor-- but hey Freeze and Cheetah could be costumes and there could be 3 missing.

Possibly, but this is a NR/WB game, and a lot of people already don't like their DLC practices, so I think they're a bigger target for complaints in that regard.

Also if Manta isn't in the base game I really doubt he will be DLC, I think they have too many quests for them to waste a slot on him.
