Injustice 2 Roster Discussion & Speculation Thread

Haha, so some idiot on GameFAQs is claiming that I leaked the DLC on my "private blog." I don't know if that lie will manage to spread, but it's bullshit.

To be more on topic, I hope to see full move set videos for the four characters in the beta. I love what little I've seen of Batman.

Wow. Sucks that all you have done is help the fgc with some hype samples and asshats have to drag your name into everything :(. Here comes eventhubs in 5...4...3...

I've been abstaining from GAF until I could watch the full stream. Not even disappointed in the lack of a character reveal because Robin looked awesome and the character customization looks fucking amazing. I can't wait until May. I didn't get a beta code either and before I checked TYM I just knew all the pros would be getting them. It's like SFV Beta whitelist all over again haha.

The pros conveniently got them haha. I'm not mad but I wish if they were going to do that then they should have sent them in an earlier batch and let filthy casuals like me in today. There's people on Twitter saying if they don't get their beta codes today then they aren't getting the game. That logic makes no sense as we had no clue the beta would even be this early lol.
 
Yeah it's a bit odd theymore or less announce that the beta starts today. I would have let the press and YouTubers and whatnot have this week and just have them embargoed until the end of the stream, and have the actual beta start when us filthy plebs get access. It's more or less press/YouTuber previews than it is the official start of the beta.
 
Wow, Boon is actually tweeting at or retweeting guys like Sonic now while the Injustice twitter is busy retweeting streams. Guess the marketing cycle is fully underway.

Eh, I doubt it. You don't swing a staff from the bottom like a sword, and Robin uses the sword to impale the opponent in a few of his moves. It really only makes sense as a bladed weapon.
 
Hope us plebs get a Beta code soon. I also hope we get DLC rumors before the game. I don't want to drop 100 on characters I don't want. I already just want the John and Kara skin.

Exactly what it is lol. I keep checking my email but nothing. Disappointing, really. Tyler Lansdown on Twitter has retweeted several questions about wave 2 of beta codes but has given non answers. As of this time there is no telling when we will get ours.

Don't buy that edition then if you're worried about several characters you don't want. The skins a certainly gonna be sold separately and you can pick and choose the characters you want.

That is more logical. I just wanted to complain. It also depends on the individual prices of the skins though.

With all the supposedly tons of pieces, there are going to be some goofy combos in there.

I wish they had scrapped the B-F special moves for this game, but seems they did not. Those feel super awkward to me in a back to block fighter. The SF-style command option was worthless last game.

All they need to do is make them Neutral Back Forward, so if you do it "too slowly" (i.e. if you've been holding back due to walking or blocking) it won't come out. That or a reverse charge move system that disables them after too much holding of back.

It's okay, there are plenty of us in the same boat that share your sadness :(.
I was watching PNDKandM's stream and they were laughing at some guy playing with Atrocitus because he was randomly doing moves and not finishing combos. I mean... the beta has been out for like a day and there's no practice mode. Come on, guys lol.

Even the appearance? I know that the stats are RNG but the devs must have made a specific amount of unique looking parts and just have the game add random names/stats to differentiate between them?

EDIT: I meant unique gear in terms of appearance. Obviously it's just not worth it to make a database of ALL the gear, only the visually distinct ones.

SonicFox has posted a lot of VERY encouraging stuff on his twitter regarding the game. He makes it sound as though they've really fixed a lot of the issues that I1 had, and are balancing the character archetypes very well. Anti-Airs are also apparently very strong.

I'm sure appearance wise, there's a set number, but base colors and whatnot, maybe even patterns, could factor into it. Plus, they haven't given us a number. So your guess is as good as anyones.
 
I swear I hate working overnight lol. Tyler Lansdown dropped some beta codes over on the injustice Reddit but of course I wasn't awake to claim any :(. Oh, and I tagged you Compbros over on TYM so I hope you get one of the codes that Storms is giving out :). Someone on GAF has to feel the love!

Keep an eye out on the Injustice Reddit, he could always give more codes out... I hope.

We've seen that gear will add/remove certain moves
