Injustice 2 Roster Discussion & Speculation Thread

Does the Ultimate version only come in steelcase? I want all the DLC perks but a regular case.

At the moment yes. It says limited steelbook edition and only as long as supplies last.

So Ultimate Editions later could be not steelbooks and its just the first prints.

That's lame. That means I have to get the steelbooks if I want Darkseid too. Oh well, it is what it is. Thanks!

NRS has done alternate controls in every game since the first Injustice. There's no question that will be kept as well as the option to turn negative edge on and off and input shortcuts.

Yeah, but they just always felt off to me, so I didn't use them even though I wanted to.

Alternate controls should be standard because in MK controls you get dumb shit like special moves coming out when you come out of crouch trying to do a directional command normal.

Along with removing all BF motions, and not turning them into half circles, that's hella bad.

90% of my complaints about I1 were the controls being ass, and it seems like that is still the case with I2.

In I1 I basically couldn't play as anyone with BF motions because of it.

No problem, I've been perpetually stuck in the middle between casual and pro on every fighting game I get into lol. I'd be more than happy to teach you what I know to help you level up before injustice 2 comes out! Good thing about the returning characters is that they will play a lot like they did before so you can learn most of the ins and outs now. I'm sure you can teach me a lot in Marvel, I can't stop getting bodied :(.

That's me with MVC and Smash Bros but lately I have been falling into Casual section because I don't really have a lot of free time anymore. That honestly sound good, and I will let you know when I'm free. :)

Sorry if someone already mentioned this:

So yea, no "Tournament Mode", you just turn gear off like transitions.

I can't really tell yet how well this implementation would work. Is this filter option better or worse than a separate mode? I guess it would depend on how matchmaking is handled?

Is Injustice worth it to pick up online for offline play?

I would say so. Has a story mode, arcade modes with different modifiers like Mystery where you get a buff/debuff or one where you have to beat all characters with one life bar, there's a few of them. Then there's Star Labs, where every character has a few missions, each mission having 3 Stars you can reach, so you'll have to get all 3 requirements. Goes from basic battles with requirements like "Don't jump" or "Win with a Supermove" to more minigame like missions, like one with Green Arrow where you basically just have to aim your shots with the wind affecting you. So yeah, there's a lot for people that prefer to play alone. Game is also fun to play once you get into it.

Maybe wait for it to go on sale and then grab it.

Edit: OH you meant the 2nd one whoops.

Day one. I like MP games but not in fighting games.

Oh, I thought you meant the first one.

It should be, but the modes haven't been revealed yet. If DLC after release updates bother you, this may not be your cup of tea. There's going to be a lot.

Yeah messed my post abit up i see now. Its late haha.
Thanks tho. :)

Story Mode should still be interesting for SP people and from interviews they made it seem like it's going to be pretty big, also collecting loot and the whole gear thing might be something that can be enjoyed against the AI.

Star Labs and something like the Battles/Towers from MK should make it in too. I have no doubt about it.

Seems like some people got their codes but a lot didn't, again. No code here. It's my birthday in 6 hours and all I wanted was an Injustice 2 beta lol. :( I need that fridge gif now I guess.

I still think we'll get a separate mode, this could just be an additional way to do it in case you invite friends and what not and just be sure that you have a way to remove stat boosts. I mean, they kept saying we'd get one...would be crazy not to.

Yep, that's the one lol. Thank you. Don't think a GIF has ever hit closer to home than that one.

I'm not seeing anything from anyone about getting codes on Gamefaqs or Reddit so don't give up yet.

A few people have gotten them on Twitter, TYM, and Reddit now. Very few, though. I don't think they sent out that many. Like not even a wave, more like a puddle. I think we're done for tonight, sadly.

Agreed why even bother announcing. They are being super stingy with the codes too they've passed out 10 codes for the one and ps4 in two days on Reddit.

True but man some of these costumes are ugly af.

Eh, I like all the variations, and superhero costumes will always get flak for looking ugly. You can never win with them. As long as we get full recognizable ones like last game too, I'm fine with them.

I actually like a lot of the Injustice designs more than most people seem to (at least judging by the complaints in other I2 threads) but some of the color and costume combinations in that video are more than a little iffy.

I don't mind Injustice 2's more realistic art direction, but I wish the costumes themselves were a little more basic and closer to the comics. Atrocitus is definitely the worst offender -- he barely resembles the character. He's not supposed to look like a walking volcano.

Reddit also got a drop of codes, and it was gone immediately. I'm kinda passed they even announced "wave" two, when it's clear so few people got in.

The biggest problem about Tyler posting codes like that publicly is that bots will pick those up immediately. Chances of getting one are slim to none. I think I might go with my idea of contacting Tyler and seeing if he'd be willing to do a drop or giveaway for GAF. He's dropped codes on the Reddit forums, WB forums and given out some to TYM for a giveaway. He's yet to do it on GAF which has an insanely large user base, so more promotion for them lol.
