Injustice 2 Roster Discussion & Speculation Thread

Does Superman still have Heat Zap? It's not listed here.

Edit: I just saw him use it in a different video. It's just missing from his move list for some reason.

I'll try that I really wanna play the story mode I got my girlfriend into DC with the Flash. Now I gotta spring the fighting game trap while the timing is right. That fixed it awesome and my Street Fighter playing is paying off I'm pretty decent.

No, it's not. Can't 223 and dash for a follow up. Only can combo in the corner. They really mauled him.

I play competitively, I am almost strictly NRS, and Superman is my favorite Superhero. I was getting a code.


Edit: Stopped playing Resi7, KH 2.8, RotTR, and WWE 2K17 along with the other fighters once I got a code.
 
Starting to lean towards our starting roster being 27, since we still have 28 slots on the beta character select and Darkseid will take up one of those day 1.

So far we have:

If the two asterisks end up being premium skins as has been heavily theorized, that leaves us with exactly 28 characters.

Yea I know you play competitively, I've seen your spec ops play quite a bit. Tried getting back into competitive with mkx again but health issues make it rough. Glad you got your code though sir!
 
Watchmen characters in it would be so sick.

It would be weird to ever see dr. Manhattan lose tho lol. Guy should have a one button kill.

We need Doctor Manhatttan with a Captain Atom premium skin and Rorschach with a Question premium skin. Nite Owl premium skin for Batman has to happen too.

Overall, I like it. I like how it gives each character a customizable costume, and there seems to be a lot of gear to obtain and equip. I also like how it gives players something to grind for in single and multiplayer. I also like the equippable special attacks.


That said, the stats are not at all my thing. I won't be playing online modes where the passive stats from gear come into play.
 
I wish we could fight with just the abilities and the shader slot active but all other gear having no effect save for looks. That would be the ideal online situation for me personally.
 
I'm super excited that Firestorm might be in the game, but if he is, I have a feeling he's gonna be an over designed mess like Atrocitus.

Ed Boon said on the Watchtower stream that Injustice 2 would have the largest initial roster of any NRS game, and since MK9 had 27 characters (28 on PS3), there have to be at least 28-29 characters not including DLC.

Still not holding my breath for 30. I'll just be pleasantly surprised if there is.

Well that's just disappointing lol. I understand changing the properties of his forward 2,3 due to it being OP but all the other nerfs are a little silly. He wasn't my main in IJ1 but I enjoyed playing with him.

As far as roster number goes, I agree with Ryce. I think we will have 32 boxes on the final launch character select screen, with one being for Darkseid and one being for random. But we will see, I suppose. More codes MIGHT be sent out tomorrow hopefully so again, since I signed up for 3 emails I'll be giving them out to those who still haven't gotten one. I promised you first dibs, Newman!
 
I hope they don't change Green Lantern's throw animation in the game. Him kicking the opponent through the brick wall was my favorite.

One thing I wasn't crazy about in the first was that a successful and blocked attack looked and sounded to similar.

This sounds about right.

30 with Brainiac unlocked (ala Shinnok).
31 random slot, 32 Darkseid. I hope the website spots are accurate, the more characters the merrier lol. Btw, not sure if anybody else has ever had this issue but I tried playing the beta from my hotel room last night but my DS4 started going haywire and my up button turned into a turbo right directional button lol. Tried resetting the controller but still kept doing it. Whoever I played must have wondered how this scrub got to level 14.

EDIT: I guess the controller is just broken :(. But oh man, if the gear was allowed in tournaments it would be hilarious. My Superman is broken. Ex dash punch causes level transition, air heat zap ability.

Especially singe the gear system DOES NOT affect the hair, I don't want bald Superman to be there forever. -_-
