Edit: Oh wow you can change supers too? Just saw a video where Superman crashed down on the other guy instead of going from one site of the screen to another.

Not in the beta, that's for sure.
It was region always free on Xbox.
As for ps4, Ed Boon said he "wishes" they can make it region free.

Well that's irrelevant because MKX wasn't region locked in its beta either and we saw how that ended.
I agree completely. Hopefully that will change in the future, although I'm pretty much too lazy to create separate loadouts just yet haha. I think there are some moves that gear adds that I wish were standard tbh. Atrocitus's pillar of blood for example. It's a good get off me move if you MB it but it's part of his ability slots so you'll never see it competitively

I really wish instead of full on attack/defense percentage stats, it was just a system where you had QCF L, QCF M, QCF H, etc, and assigned moves to them.
The ability/custom move part is interesting, but even more minor on that front than Smash 4 was.
Rising Thunder (R.I.P) is still the gold standard for what it was going to do. Here's hoping a game finally comes around and does custom moves well, all available from the start, chosen on the select screen for local play, with meaningful differences between the moves.
Customization gameplay wise does sound like a great innovation in fighters, but the 12.5% + to attack stuff is a hassle to deal with, I'd prefer just choosing like what Palutena can do with customs in Smash 4, a set of diverse moves with easily noticeable differences.
But I guess a fair system where offline local players can choose from everything would take out the progression aspect that will appeal to the casual masses.

I hear you. Tyler dropped codes on the official boards, Reddit and test your might (via contest) so my aim is for him to either drop some here or maybe do some sort of giveaway like they did on TYM. I think we got a level headed group here so there's not going to be GAF tags attached to tweets saying "YOU GUYS SUCK. I'M NOT BUYING YOUR GAME NOW, I DIDN'T GET A CODE AND YOU ARE NO LONGER MY LOVER" lol. A single tweet worded politely in reference to here is worth a shot I think. Remember, if anyone gets a code in the next few days please announce it. I'm going to be giving my 3 way if they ever come.

I'm hoping for Captain Cold but I have a feeling they wont show him till Legends of Tomorrow is almost over for the season.

I fully expect them to speed up the reveal process quite a bit since the game'll be out in a few months.
My prediction is Captain Cold, but possibly a trailer featuring the Flash as well. I say this because somebody on another forum who's keeping their source under wraps mentioned some supposed details on Captain Cold's play style. If they're posting this info on a month old thread then it may be because their source has information regarding the reveal/next week's stream.
Haha, don't feel bad. That's all I did for two weeks before the beta. It actually helps and is good practice for when you will get to play it.

Haha I played through the story mode and arcade with all characters just to get myself up to speed on the plot and such.
I don't know if they think of those 3 as "new" characters, it seemed like they didn't consider Robin new, when asked about a new character reveal they answered "No" during last stream iirc.
I wonder if they'll do that, like change the gender of a character with premier skins. Would be cool.
