1.Zatanna(If I would of known IJ2 was going to look so good id rather her have never appear in the first one so she would have a chance to appear in the superior game,MM was a close second)

2.Lobo(I just think he's really cool and really fits the IJ style)

3. Constantine ( this was the hardest, I gave up Batwoman, Katana for Constantine because he has more potential move variety and hes so dam cool. Static was close behind and id love to see plastic man make it in lol)

4. Larfleeze( didn't really care for most of the choices and Larfleeze im most familiar with)

5. Hellboy( he needs more mainstream love. Id love a power ranger but it'd probably be the new movie version so nah.)
 
I really realllllly dislike bringing SJW-related drama or any drama onto videogames, but can we please stop referring to Starfire as Slutfire lol? I think her "slutty" design is more appealing to me than her cutesy design

(please don't take this as me enforcing social justice on a lil' video game thread on some forum. :3 I understand a lot of you are simply referring to her as that to differentiate which "version" of Starfire you're talking about but surely there's another way to do so)
 
My bet is Dr Fate tomorrow. Deep character, not tied to the bug franchises, potentially interesting moveset, already pseudo-confirmed.

I hope Rorshach makes it in so we can get a Question alternate.

They specifically said in this video that you CAN'T buy gear OR chests with real money.

So my guess would be koin packs. Which would be in a way the same thing as buying chests but still.

Superman still looks like shit during his though. (that stupid backlight needs to go)

Not sure what he meant by "rerolling gear". Rerolling stats for one gear or getting a new piece entirely ?

I'm still confused. It sounds like they're trying to say you can't make purchases for gear using real money either directly or indirectly and everything is bought using in-game coins. MKX had coins too, right? and you couldn't buy those, and if I recall they were strictly in-game.

They took a hardline "no pay to win" stance explicitly, so IF there's some sort of indirect way to pay real money for gear, like say buying coins to get loot boxes, to drop gear, they were being disingenuous and they're going to get deservedly skewered. I really hope they stick to their word without some loophole.

I'm still waiting for the catch, though. My gut tells me there's going to be some way to monetize this. Maybe just the shaders, premium skins, and the actual DLC characters. If it's full skins/shaders and characters, not some real money gambling/loot box gimmick, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Same here, expecting something hinky to happen but so far it's shaping up to be pretty good.

They did say that there's going to be a Watchtower stream in March where they breakdown the entire gear system so hopefully we'll get a firm answer to this issue then.

But just the fact that you can't buy loot chests gives me hope, since buying koins would be the same exact thing and I feel like they would have said so if that was the case.
 
no ways theres that many shaders in the real game! dc wont let them violate iconography like so

His intro? You mean the dialogue he has at the start? The animation looks unchanged to me.

Oh it's subtle but it's changed, and it's also worse.

I double checked.

Now you see him land, look at enemy, then it shows enemy's dialogue, cuts back to Superman who's not looking at the enemy and staring at the ground for no reason with a really bad facial expression, then Supe's dialogue, and then he has a forced frown that wasn't there before either.

Before he just raised his head but already looked at the enemy and then had some cool facial expressions. Less evil I guess. I could do with the frowning but I'm not accepting this stupid stare into nothing. It's very brief but it's very unsettling for me.

He was fine and that change only makes it worse.
 
Man it really shows how fucked we have being in the pass with video games that even though they are so in your face about no micro transactions and promoting it every chance they can, we are still looking for loopholes they can implement it haha

Premium skins mostly have to be paid for. That's how they will milk this game.

We're all buying all the premium skins and you know it.
 
I must be one of the only gamers out there who doesn't give two shits about microtransactions. As long as they give me a way to earn currency in game like in SFV or ME3, I'm good.

They just want to avoid saying it for now because of how people react to that.

Maybe won't even be in the game at launch if they want to be sneaky about it.

Patch it in later after reviews hit.

Ultimate scumbag move.

Personally as I don't intend to use the gear, I don't care too much.
Unless they have some really fancy cool singleplayer mode that uses it.
Then fuck.
 
Ive been thinking about what they could do for a singleplayer mode thats heavy on gear. Maybe something that let's you recruit, level and customize different characters before you try to take down Superman or Brainiac?

This isn't the most interesting idea but they have to do something with gear for the singleplayer crowd.

I want to believe them, because they are going out of their way to say how there will be no "pay-to-win". I'm surprised they are even tackling the question, but they need to be very exact in explaining what their interpretation is, because the message they are sending is there will be no paid stat-boost items. Given that, it would be a really poor idea to backtrack via some technicality, or via a series of indirect purchases with effectively the same result.

With every NRS game, there's something that rubs me the wrong way, and I'm still waiting for it to be revealed with this game. I'm expecting some sort of paid cosmetic loot boxes rather than directly purchasable skins, which doesn't give you any stat boosts, so they may be technically correct. :/
 
Theres only two non-white humans in the game. Pretty lame considering how we could have cool characters like Static, Kaldur'ahm, Vixen, Katana, Bumblebee, I could go on.
