Insider Gaming: Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition coming 2025

Insider Gaming understands that a Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition is in development. Its content will be sold as a separate DLC for those with the existing game.

The Definitive Edition is said to have around 10-15 hours of additional content, with a new story quest, side quests, activities, and outfits.

As for when the Definitive Edition/DLC will be announced, it remains to be seen, but with a potential 2025 release date on the cards, it could be sooner rather than later.

Very cool, my wife will be happy.

I have yet to play it but the game does look fun as can be. I really enjoyed watching her play and some of the bosses looked so cool. Giant skulls and whatnot. Game had a great vibe from what I saw.

Great news. I have been wondering if they were going to add some DLC to the game. Had a lot of fun with it. Going to get the Platinum once the Pro gets here.

Honestly, I found this gane super dull, I didn't enjoy the story or gameplay. Graphics are great tho but nothing else stood out for me

Makes sense given how well it sold.
But I'll probably just skip this and wait for a sequel (though I still think WB will fuck it up). The game was fun but by the end I sort of had my fill of it.

Would need to see a full analysis video. Xbox version had graphical and performance problems. I don't know if they ever patched it to full parity with Playstation.

The game's structure is a 6/10 or 7/10 Ubisoft game, but the game's combat is pretty unique and fun once you get the hang of it. It actually has pretty good stealth mechanics too when you fully level it up.

It is a good first try at an AAA game but you can definitely see where they need to improve.

I've mentioned it in other threads but Im convinced that it's not that the "ubisoft formula" is inherently flawed. It's that most Ubisoft games are mid at their core. I only say that because I've never been a fan of most ubisoft games but there's a handful of open world titles I love that were written off by the masses as "ubisoft slop".

I was wondering what do they mean definitive edition? There's no extra content, but actual additional comes with this release, that's really cool; I was wondering the other day to uninstall it to reclaim some space, but I guess I'll just leave it installed.

By Ubisoft formula for this game specifically, I mean that there are collectathon side tasks that don't go anywhere special and they are constantly repeated side missions throughout the world. There's more of this in the Hogwarts' world than there is actual people, special events, actual worthwhile secrets, or special quests.

It's something that an RPG dev from the PS360 generation would have simply tightened up into a more focused experience, like Mass Effect, Alpha Protocol, or Dragon Age for example, so that you simply get most of the good without all of the repetition.

There were some issues with the game, but they generally did a very good job in most aspects so I could really see myself playing an expansion with a new story.

I'm playing through it right now. I like it, although it is slow to get going (after the intro). The tutorial seems to stretch on and on. Still, the amount of attention that went into the game is impressive. I like the characters and the world. Fanciful, lighthearted, British, with dashes of humor. Combat seems pretty fun, too, although I'm just getting warmed up.

Cool, I'll definitely double dip. Even though the gameplay was by the numbers, the fact that it was set in the Harry Potter world made it easy to lose myself in the game.
same i did not even play for that long i got to the school and then stopped and never got back to it .
