It's been nearly four years since Marvel's Wolverine was announced, and outside of the debut teaser trailer developer Insomniac has had very little to say about the game. Some fans are getting a little, er, aggressive in their requests for news, and the devs are responding in no-nonsense terms to say they're only going to share news when they're good and ready.

 
Weird for fans to attack Insomniac when they are one of the few Sony studios to actually have put out more than 1 game this gen (or any game at all)
Also people need to be more considerate, the diversity training courses don't host themselves, this stuff takes time.

Insomniac has released Miles, Ratchet and Spiderman 2 in the first three years of the PS4. yes, they took last year off, but no one is releasing games every year.

If you want to harrass anyone, harrass that cunt Herman Bust. He's on twitter too. He is the one who greenlit GaaS games for Sony Bend, Bluepoint, ND, GG, Firewalk, Firesprite, and spent $4 billion on Bungie.

Wolverine was announced too soon, but it likely only started full development after Spiderman 2 shipped in October 2023. WTF, do you want to see in 1 year of dev time? Especially when CD Project just released a prerendered trailer after 4 years of dev, and ND a tiny teaser with one character in a tiny room after 4 years of dev time.

Gamers are stupid.
 
I hope there is no SBI involvement in the games development which will make this game infested with woke agenda. Insomniac is under the SBI consultancy in the past.

Insomniac especially are one of the most efficient AAA dev teams right now. How many games they pumped since PS5 gen?

Insomniac use to be a studio that could churn out high quality titles quickly.

Now they've joined the countless studios that need 6+ years and over $300 million to deliver a game.

Spiderman 2 came out October 2023. Ratch and Clank was 2021. Miles Morales was 2020. So when did they join this 6+ years development time you speak of because I don't see it.

Papito SlimySnake, I actually was being completely serious. After Spiderman 2 I have lost all hope for Insomniac games. It's infested with DEI and it shouldn't be a surprise to find all this crap again in Wolverine
 
No point in haranguing Insomniac, even if their games have been less than stellar, they've released consistently. Honestly, I hope they've gone back to the drawing board for Wolverine and really take their time.
 
It always annoys me that these people/places have to be so secretive. Meanwhile i have 300 hours into Valves game that isnt even announced but can be played by anyone. I like the devs that share updates and artwork (Diablo did this well)

That is a good news. But if there are woke agenda inserted because of SBI consultancy, I hope there is still time to remove them. I hope the greenlight have something to do with cleansing the game from that woke infestation from SBI.

We apparently ask for this. Even in the Switch 2 threads, posters complain the graphics are shit. Its heading into the wrong direction where it takes an entire console lifecycle to create one game. ND still didn't turn up on PS5 and won't before going to its 6th year.
 
Insomniac's output is pretty much untouchable right now. Let them cook. If they showed it now, you'll just abuse them for the quality not being at the level you expected. They'll share when its ready.

Absolute brain rot happening in the gaming community these days. People can't do simple math. We're not even 2 years from Spider-Man 2 but somehow Insomniac is taking too long to develop games.
 
We can only hope every single thing from the leak was scrapped with extreme prejudice. Minimal hope for this one.

Very little in a Wolverine story could surprise me.....I just feel bad for people who dont follow his and his extended family much in the event something that offends them shows up.


Until they make a Namor the Submariner game and he fucks anything that even remotely resembles an orifice a penis could fit in.

That is the worst character model I've ever seen. Got the jawline/double chin of early/fat Kingpin and the frightening death stare eyes of Richard Ramirez.

The complexion is particularly mannish with many visible pores and discolorations making it appear as if this person isn't wearing makeup and doesn't do routine skin care or at least didn't for a large part of their life.

You make good points but Wolverine has been in production in parallel to other projects or they wouldn't have put a release year at the end of that reveal trailer. I know you said "full development", and that's precisely what I mean. It's been in full development long before SM2 released.

Wolverine didn't start "full development" until SM2 was in its release quarter. So no, it certainly wasn't in "full development" long before SM2 released.

Even internally it wasn't slated to come out until Q3 2026.

We probably haven't seen anything on Venom because they don't want to release it around GTA6. Internally the game was slated for Q3 2025.

For any company except Sony apparently; releasing Death Stranding 2, Ghost of Yotei, Marathon, and Venom in a single year would be a banner year. That's more consequential games than some companies will make in a generation...

Who knows! It's a model found in the leak and nothing says it can't be placeholder until they finalize her look. It's not uncommon to use raw face scans of voice actors for early dev before finalizing their look in-game. This is what the voice actor, Krizia Bajos, looks like with make up, good lighting and a professional shot. Will they retain her look for the final game? We won't know till they release official material. All the concept art is all over the place, so it's anybody's guess.
