Intel 13th Gen Core Raptor Lake CPU pricing leaked by Newegg

Although this is not the official pricing for the 13th Generation Core (yet), it's probably not too far off. The Intel Innovation event, where the company is expected to unveil its new desktop series, begins in just a few short hours.

The whole K and KF portfolio is now labelled as "just launched" on one of the leading PC hardware selling sites in the US, suggesting that Intel is likely to enable retailers to begin taking preorders today.

Leaked are six processor SKUs that Intel is likely to announce today. The flagship i9-13900K costs $659, while the i9-13900KF (no iGPU) costs $629; the i7-13700K costs $449, while the i7-13700KF costs $429; the i5-13600K costs $329, while the i5-13600KF costs $309. Additionally, storage pages provide clock speeds. The i9-13900K/KF operates at a base frequency of 3.00 GHz, the i7-13700K/KF at 3.40 GHz, and the i5-13600K/KF at 3.50 GHz.

If confirmed, these prices are rather competitive, and might make a Intel build a great option.
AMD might be forced to cut prices already on Zen4, to remain competitive with Raptor lake.

The order they are displayed triggers me greatly, I want to photoshop the image and put the tiles in order of increasing price instead of this montrosity. I will buy Ryzen because of this.

But remember that everything under the 136K is actually an Alderlake refresh.
The 13400 is basically a 12600K.
The 13500 is a cut down 12900
The 13600 is a cut down 12900 with higher boost.

Man, I think 13600K might be the most interesting of all of these. That could be one hell of a gaming CPU for the price.

There are current i5s that have 6P cores and no E cores. So i'm asking if there's going to be one next gen.

The reason i don't want E cores is that they are a bad design for modern emulators AFAIK.

You can disable them on the Bios.
Or buy a Zen CPU.

If you are actually buying an RPL CPU like the 136K you can disable them in BIOS.
Or even better if you care about emulation as much get a Zen4 chip....AVX512 still enabled on Zen4.
RPL its been completely lasered off.

Last resort....buy a 12400 an MSI motherboard, and overclock it to 5.0GHz....instant 6P0E-core i5K.

Intel are just bitches.
They got rid of AVX512 instructions off the consumer chips so people would buy their prochips to get AVX512.

AMD dont give a damn and kept AVX512.

If you really wanna stick to Intel find an earlier AlderLake, they still had AVX512 when the E cores were disabled.

I think I will stick with my lowly Alder Lake i9-12900k for now, since jumping to the next gen doesn't do much from a gaming perspective when gaming exclusively at 4K. True benefits come if gaming at 1080 or 1440. That's where you can get the big jumps.
 
13th gen looking good. +41% in MT workloads is a huge improvement. Well, AMD did something like it from Zen 3 to Zen 4 too though right?

Gaming performance seems to be just a little bit better. Intel will probably take the crown again but I was expecting more of a bump in this regard.

That little tile that looks like an artifact, THAT is the 5800X3D, and it correctly shows winning over the 12900k, it just looks stupid and is absolutely shitty to compare... which absolutely is what Intel tried and achieved I guess.

The MT workload gains is probably enough to get me to go for a 136K just for CPU rendering.
But on the gaming front, with Intel back on their Tick-Tock schedule, it was wishful thinking at best to assume they were going to increase performance by much.
Alderlake was the Tick, Raptorlake the Tock.
Basically just a refinement.

The real gain will be next year with the Tick of MeteorLake.

For gaming these things are gonna eat the same shit Zen4 vs RPL on electricity and heat is a non-factor now.

And if you are upgrading your CPU every year or two years.....youve got the cash to clearly NOT care about buying a new Motherboard.

One can hope.
Maybe MeteorLake next year has AVX512 reimplemented after Intel sees the success of Zen4.

Even at 1440p, my Alder Lake i7 and 3080 and churning through everything I throw at it. I think my next upgrade will be a 50xx series graphics card.
