ID is not science. People who promote it should not be taken seriously and deserve to be ridiculed for the morons they are. Scientists are dismissive of this nonsense for a reason. It's fucking rubbish. Any school district that adds ID to its science class standards should have all its science scores invalidated. Seriously...this is distressing as an educator. PEACE.

Out of interest, do you have such Religion classes in the US in your schools? I can only talk from personal experience, I had a Religious Education class (in the UK if it matters) where we were basically taught about religions, their beliefs, to respect them etc.

Some schools do have them, mainly schools with religious themes though some public schools also teach them; mine did, and also included Greek and Roman mythology if that counts. I graduated long ago so I don't know how it's set up nowadays, but there you go.

And if a school doesn't have a Religion 101-type class, it's easy enough to squeeze one in; it's done frequently. Come earlier or stay later or extend school hours by a bit. I mean if the governor of Georgia can enact Snow Days in the hot-assed days of September, these shouldn't even be a problem if a school/holy rollers are so hard up for ID being taught.

But apparently this isn't good enough; they want to put them in actual science classes. Which isn't needed and they know it. They're just trying to force their beliefs on everybody. So in a way, the comic I posted actually IS more valid to this thread than I previously thought.
