So I was just thinking of this question. If you were happy with the serious relationship you were in right now... as in completely blissfully happy and you would be devastated if they left you which would send you into a reclusive state for decades to come after doing so... and someone came from the future, say 10 years in advance, and showed you that your sig-o will INEVITABLY screw you over and they had undeniable and substantial proof of this (and of them being from the future), when would you break it off?

a) immediately
b) after you have had enough time to adequately torture them for sins not yet commited
c) maybe eventually if things really did start to get bad, but make sure you do it first
d) never. you are in love and if they really do it then you will deal with it then

now remember, you really truly believe this person is from the future and the proof they have is incontrovertible.

Well if I believe in time travel I also believe in alternate realities... so how can they prove to me the proof is from a person in my reality... huh... HUH!??!?!?! I think this would say something about my sig-o's character and I would start looking long and hard if this is somebody I want to spend my life with. If I came to the conclusion that they were, in fact, someone I wanted to be with, I would use the knowledge gained to see what led up to them screwing me and why it happened. Then I might manipulate them into not doing it, or I would be mentally prepared for it when it happened so it would be easier to work through.

indeed, if time travel backwards existed, then we would have known about it since the begining of mankind, assume that you could travel back to any time and not just a time where time travel already existed.
