Introduction to MOBAs

Well this is awesome.
It's worth noting that those songs are made up entirely of in game sounds. Yes even that goofy harmonica.
Yeah, no. Lycan has an absolutely absurd 66% winrate in comp games.

Edit: The other big thing will be the East vs West rivalry which is gonna flare up again at Starladder IX.
Starladder is going to be awesome.
Emp invoker is also an incredibly safe pick right now in both pubs and pro play.
Qw invoker is the most annoying thing in the game right now. Most people who try the radiance naga sort of suck and don't get it at a reasonable time, but qw is sooooo brain dead and easy to do. Qe actually took some degree of skill.

Morello must have gotten his hands on Invoker.

Maybe in competitive but I find that unless your Invoker really knows what he's doing, QW is a recipe for losing mid.

Best sound effect is the one when you click on immune buildings. I mean, who at the Valve offices thought "you know what this should do? Go MEEP MAAP MEEP MAAP"

Mana boots have also gotten nerfs since QW Invoker was last in vogue, which makes him even more of a threat.

It never seems to matter what happens before ten minutes he can still show up and wreck a team before the fight starts single handedly.

It's like last patch earth spirit.

I don't know, most Invokers I see just whiff Tornados and EMPs. Or try to get all fancy with Eul combos then die because they don't have good control. Invoker is most definitely not last patch's Earth Spirit, or else my Invoker win rate wouldn't be so abysmal.

The mistake I see most people make against Invoker is clumping up and letting him Tornado + EMP. Tornado is really not that fast, unless you're right in front of him it's pretty easy to dodge, especially since you know he'll always try to lead with it. The second mistake, which is a corollary of the first, is letting him Tornado/EMP multiple times in a single engagement, which obviously wrecks your team. One EMP on 1-2 heroes isn't backbreaking in the slightest.

It's just a ridiculous mid game you can't prevent no matter what you do early. He's kind of shitty late unless you really know what you're doing, luckily the people I play against don't. It's just really annoying that's all.
Manaless champions OP
theres this hot new game called dawngate it sounds like youd be into

Always exceptions to the rule!

Also, WD can't consistently keep VR up (unless you're like 8-0 and have bought Arcanes and an Agha) and if you max it early you're going to miss out on looking at it go.

If you want to keep Voodoo restoration on 24/7, you gotta buy a blood stone. Heals for ages.

So what's currently the biggest thing affecting Dota 2 now?

League just recently got a new item that's causing quite a bit of uproar. Gives junglers an on-hit damage+heal and increases in potency the more jungle monsters you kill. Late game some of the junglers are just insane....

Nothing to fancy, just the old "These new heroes are overpowered, nerf plz!"

They are overpowered, Icefrog plz buff everyone else

Dota question. Are there any new characters in Dota 2, or are they still working on adding characters from Dota 1? I didn't realize they had changed Invoker, i only recall him from years and years ago when he had an insane number of spell combinations.

They're still working on achieving parity with Dota 1, while Icefrog releases one or two heroes every year for the original.

Work has slowed down to a snail's pace because of other projects taking manpower/focus on other areas.

They're still adding heroes from Dota 1, but Icefrog still adds heroes to Dota 1 every now and then(like Kaolin).

27 spells Invoker was changed a looong time ago, man. Now he only has 10.

I agree, QW invokers don't seem to be OP if you have proper positioning as a team, and I like that both options seem reasonably viable in the current meta. Before when QW was clearly superior and then got nerfed so nothing but exort was played, there were issues, but by himself the hero seems to be in a good place now.

It's possible that he has too much impact on hero choices because EMP completely counters most non intel supports as well as carries that need a lot of mana to be effective(though the blink dagger change helps out heroes like SK and earthshaker deal with the EMP a bit better and still be able to get their combo off). Seems like a lot of heroes for one character to counter, but it may be intended, after all Doom counters everyone, and it's not like Invoker is a dominant laner, he is fairly easy to shut down if you have to do it.

Here's a guide to OP champions and how to play them in League

Damn the old map was ugly

not pro as heck master yi guide/10

Is there any Dota equivalent of this? I'd love to see it if so. They showed one of these at the World Championship, i think they're great

Closest thing I can think of is the dota 2 reporter and thats only because its animated, otherwise I can't think of anything similar.

Im sick of this so called " the play "

If ig pulled it off people would call it a regular wombo combo but in reality it was harder to pull since enigma had bkb and there is a jugg

I think a lot of the love came from the context. That said, I have plenty of plays I prefer to that one. Ky.Xy's RPs from TI3 give me goosebumps every time.

The situation of that tournament is what made that play amazing at the time really. The Naga was unstoppable the whole tournament, BKBs or no, and the way the initiation happened it seemed like it was just going to be another one of those, but then not only does Na'Vi turn it around and win, they go 5-0.

You almost never see team fights in high level dota go 5-0 when the teams are even close to equivalently farmed, shit teams that are up 30k gold lose players in 5v5 fights all the time, it's just that easy to die in 5v5s.

So add it all up, Naga seemed unbeatable at the time, NaVi was actually trailing in the game IIRC, and they had to make that push to end the game before Naga went out of control, Naga gets the sleep on all 5, but they still manage the turnaround and team wipe.

People had been wrecked by Naga/DS/Large CC ulti all tourney. When Navi turned it around it wasnt just them turning the fight or even the game. It was them beating the unbeatable combo. People were already counting them out when they let it get through the draft and they picked Jugg, a very rare pickup at the time.

i think the only good league comic is nsfw

You should play 300 Heroes instead and enjoy a 6v6 match featuring original Chinese heroes not taken from Naruto, One Piece, Wall-E, or Attack on Titan. Unfortunately, Shrek wasn't available when I tried it.

Fun fact: The word 'freedom' is censored in game chat.

Ohhh myyy goooddd.
I'm downloading this right now.
Why is this not automatically the best moba game?
