Introduction to MOBAs

im prtty sure it was just hotshot playing her by his lonesome

but yeah, you probably know that riot likes to redo the entire game every season to keep players who are leaving and to not let certain teams stay on top
so there's been a whole bunch of changes since then, plus the most recent patch is basically a redo-lite

everyone fakes an american accent in the french vo

so fiora can be the one true frenchie

Whats does a fake french american accent sound like?

Russian accent, perhaps? They are also known for their fencing. It would be hilarious though.

They probably do the same thing as other french dubbing, either give her an over the top cheesy french accent to differentiate or give her a british accent.

Real talk,

the 70-minute pro game that just ended in Doto is something that just can't happen in the other big MOBAs. Refreshing ultimate abilities, buybacks, temporary magic immunity, aegis' & cheese pickups (and passes), blink daggers, team invis casts, force staff dragging, summoned creature/unit microing, players on tilt still able to make plays. And with a set of 10 selected heroes that you may not see chosen and played together again this year. The levels of complexity added are something unique among the popular MOBAs. And so unique is the reward for making it all come together and eking out a game like that.

If anyone needs to figure out if Dota is worth looking into, the VOD will be up shortly. I'm still in shock.

Should probably skip the first 20 minutes because it's a snoozefest though.

i stopped playing around when phoenix came out in dota 1
the only dota 2 game I've watched is this really horrible long one during the international, this match wasn't like that was it

league had a really horrible long match during season 2 worlds

Watching that game with my own camera control and watching the replay again with pausing and replay is something else completely. Greatest match I have ever seen.

If it was horrible, people wouldnt be hyped about it.

That was iG x DK, pretty much an hour and a half of farming.

There were players popularizing her before that even. HotshotGG can see the future.

It's true, he was also playing tons of Nidalee before it was cool.

It's just that he's so bad at everything he plays that it disguises how good the champions are. Genius!

I always liked how Smite did it, allowing you to buy blink (blink dagger) or combat blink (flash). Of course dota has push stick as a substitue for a combat blink.

It's enough if 10 of them have it, no?
hell no

removing the mana cost from blink dagger has opened it up to a whole new pool of heroes

its been instrumental in making the current meta really exciting in my opinion

you can make a good argument for picking up a blink on like 90% of heroes right now

Wish LoL announcers were like that.

I remember a korean game a few months ago with english casters. Both teams were playing so safe it was pretty boring and the casters were running out of things to say + it was pretty late so we got great quotes such as:

"This shyvana is so fed the only way to kill her is if shyvana from the future came back to kill her"

and

"I wish caitlyn had an ability to pop out a gun out of her top hat"

quotes like that and debating how sivir wasn't cutting herself with her boomerang kept the game funny. It happening at 1am might also have helped.

You can totally see 10 champs in the same game making plays with mobility, that was the point. Maybe you should add blink as a new summoner spell though, might open even more heroes :)
