Might have to bite on Blitz Breaker.

And No Man's Sky -- kind of worried it won't live up to the hype, but hopefully it will!

Bite. Is really really good, and the levels are bigger than 1 room, the mechanics of dashing and jumping are mixed quite well, there are obstacles and each level feel different.

And there is a 26 minutes long video of No Man's Sky that shows the game entirely, without editing, and its quite good. And is only the tip of the iceberg. I cant wait, even paid for it already...

From Kepa in the TA thread about Death Road to Canada
Yeah I think we'll go for $6.99 on launch, then up the price a dollar for every big update. Likely capping at $9.99. I think we're shooting for a big free content update every 2-4 months for at least a year (not counting possible smaller updates).
Glad they're doing the same price schedule as Wayward

A lot of those upcoming games look awesome, can't wait :] At the moment I'm still playing Crypt of The Necrodancer.

The graphical attention in in Road not Taken is astounding.
I do not want to spoil anything (on Year 11 now) but it's what separate a good game from an awesome game.
Just wow.

Was playing Death Road to Canada on PC tonight, and doing really good, and then I had my whole group get mauled by a bear unexpectedly.....

.............hello RNG, my old friend.

Hell yeah, finished Snakebird - after owning it since the original PC launch. Having on a tablet makes it much easier to "peck"
lmao
away at it in little chunks, instead of having to kind of schedule sessions in front of the computer until it feels like work. Hope more developers see mobile as a primary platform for certain best-fit types of games, rather than a secondary revenue stream months later.

Got Riptide Renegade GP on Sheild TV last night but figured I share impressions here since it also released on Apple TV.

It's another excellent entry to the series. Don't have a total picture of what is in the Apple TV version vs. the standard mobile version that will come out later. But graphics are amazing, especially still considering its under 100 MB. It also has a lot more weather effects huge drops between waves, jumps over buildings and the same wide variety of stunts.

Some may balk at the price, $9.99, but this is a complete package. No IAPs. Numerous modes including a story mode, challenges, boss battles, etc.

The TV version, at least, has 8 player multiplayer and even spilt screen multiplayer for up to 4 people.

I've read that it gets very tough but so far seems fair as I've played two competition series and a boss battle in single player with only a few that I needed to replay.

I'm sure the iOS version won't have split screen MP, but hopefully will keep all the other modes. Probably will be cheaper as well.

If you have an Apple TV (or Shield, of course) and enjoyed the first two games, I'd highly recommend it from what I've played so far even at the $10 price point.

Wont the iOS version be the same one as the Apple TV version you have? Itll show up under purchases when it is live I assume

I'm not sure because I seriously doubt they would have the 4-player split screen. As I mentioned, I have it on Shield TV but even on Google Play, I'll be curious as to how it will be handled.

Couldn't it be like Manticore Rising and be Apple TV only for compatibility?

My understanding is that they would be separate versions.

Edit: Asked Vector Unit on Twitter and they will just be one purchase for TV and mobile. They had previously said the mobile one would be priced lower so I have no idea how that could be (Maybe that means Apple TV owners might want to wait to purchase if they want it cheaper). And I would still have to assume that split screen would maybe be grayed out or something by device.

Edit2: Vector Unit says the mobile versions will have the split screen multiplayer! Interesting.

Dev of David is working on a new game Spingun, and you can check it out through a public beta

I don't even know how to move in Snakebird. I'm swiping and nothing happens. Only sometimes it moves the direction I want it. Difficult game lol.

Really? Maybe it's a bug?

It's like playing snake. You can forward, turn left, turn right, can't go through your own body

Just a guess, but I bet you are swiping directly on the birdsnake. Especially when you get multiple snakes, it's important to not do this - instead, tap a bird to select it (waking it up), then swipe in an empty portion of the screen to move.

I'm swiping in an empty sport already. I guess I didn't select it though. I'll try again.

[edit] I still don't get it. I'm only at the first stage where it is showing me how to zoom and move the camera. But it is like I am getting stuck cause my snake won't move again, even after I have selected it.

Weird! Are you doing one short swipe per square of movement? It won't move until you lift your finger

And there it is....just completed my first career of Road not Taken.
What a wonderful game.

For the ones curious...the book persist after you completed the game...so much more to discover!!!!

Awesome game that totally absorbed me for a whole week...I'll check yesterday games (nothing interesting for me it seems so far)...if nothing else appear I'll probably dive into Guild of Dungeoneering.

Finally completed Blitz Breaker, overall it was a fun twitch based arcade platformer. The bosses were fun and the last gauntlet especially was tough as nails. Hopefully this game was successful enough for the dev to warrant a sequel.

Is it me or is Chrono Trigger not on the App Store currently? Searched and I couldn't find it. Was ready to impulse buy it but when searched for SE games, I don't see it anymore.

Edit: maybe bc I was searching on my iPad. Bummer. Was hoping it was universal

Road Not Taken or Severed? Don't have enough for both right now, what do you guys recommend?

I personally would say Severed. But really depends on if you want a kind of puzzley rogue like or a more bizarre action oriented adventure.

Severed. It's turned out to be one of my favorite indies of the year so far. Gorgeous aesthetic, good blend of old-school dungeon crawling and uniquely touch-based combat, and a mix of haunting moments and vibrant colorful enviroments

Is there any reason why Square Enix' Crystal Defenders series (Crystal Defenders, Crystal Defenders Lite, Crystal Defenders Plus) is missing from the App Store?

Please don't say they're gone forever :(

I can see all of them on the Android Play Store, so it's strange they're all missing on iOS.

Does SE have a history of randomly taking down iOS games?

So MB, what's up with Harry Slater? Thought he left PG and maybe he was just doing a review here and there recently, but he seems to be in full swing. Guess he's back?
