Picking up Momoka tonight, was going to pick up Venture Kid too but with Momoka being 6.99 and Crashlands coming next week I'll have to wait on getting it.

What's another $.99?

Both games are really good so far and have great controls. Of course Venture Kid is much more old school and the difficulty ramps up very quickly.

Mokoka looks gorgeous (in its low-poly art style) for an unbelievably small 89 MB installed size. Game kind of makes me think of Soosiz meets Swordigo. Cool platforming adventure.

Mutant Mudds update for iOS 9 and 20 new ghost levels (via in-app purchase) is out.

Did I say it was a great night for platformers?

I bought a boxing-management/choose your own adventure game on Steam last week, Punch Club.

Really cool, but when I was playing I was thinking how good this would be on my phone instead of on my PC at home.

And just now I found out it's also on iOS lol...

Bought it again and can definitely recommend it!

Ah, just since today!

And that Harvest Moon game is very tempting, but I only have an iPhone 5.... Wonder if it would still work.

The quality releases continue

New puzzler from the devs of Quell: Swapperoo. Currently at a launch sale of $0.99
At that price, it's a no brainer. Been playing it on Steam the past week or so, and it's a really interesting take on the Match-3. You can only move the triangular tiles and can only move in the direction they're pointing, so that alone makes matches a strategic affair of moving pieces around the grid

But then the devs throw all manner of tricky elements, from tiles that explode and end the game if you don't match them in a certain number of turns, to sawblade tiles that destroy the tiles that touch, and more.

Saw people mentioning Harvest Moon works on the iPhone 5 too so I took the plunge and bought it.

So far it indeed seems to work flawlessly!

Are the animations as bad as they look on video? The gameplay trailer showed some really bad ones.

Looks great. Bought!

What a week! After the disappointment that Space Grunts wasn't coming out this week, I thought the only thing good this week was going to be Venture Kid. But, wow, lots of great stuff.

And more to come this month....including the biggie Crashlands on deck next week!

My iPad Mini 2 has been asking me quite a bit lately to confirm my iCloud password, which it never did before. Worried that I may have some sort of virus or Trojan horse trying to get my personal data.

Anyone have this happen?

This happens to me as well, and also to confirm my key/password through another device. I press OK and then nothing happens. (there is another option; enter password, which I havent tried yet.

Thanks. Good to know it isn't just me. With it happening so much, I was concerned that there was someone trying to get my password or something.

Maybe Apple has been having issues with iCloud recently.

Or someone is trying to hack your nudes. ;^)

Bought Swapperoo; can't wait to test it out tonight.

Playing Wayward Souls after the recent update and man oh man I forgot how fun this game is and how smooth the controls are. Feels great on my 6S+.

Do you guys have two-step verification activated?
I think I had the same issue. To fix it, I went to my AppleId page -> Security -> App-specific passwords.
Here, generate a new password for iMessage and use it when the prompt for a new iCloud password appears.

Let me know if this helps!

I can confirm it looks exactly like the trailer.

I've only just started but so far it's pretty good. Punch Club took most of my evening though.

I use 2-factor auth, too and never had any of the issues.

Since I got nothing to do left in Destiny until the next update... starting to see the light again... out of the cave... been watching Crashland, looks to be epic.

It really is stupid how Momoka didn't get onto best new games slide. Totally deserves recognition.

Fully agree. Buying it now to support what it seems to be an impressive effort and support that kind of work...

Reinstalling it now. Best roguelike on any platform IMO.

Anyone tried the new Harvest Moon?

I've just played it for half an hour or so, but I found these impressions somewhere else:

Hi guys, I've spent a couple of hours on this and I thought I would share my initial impressions. Take note that Harvest Moon is one of my favourite series and I'm suprised it's taken this long to make it's way to IOS.

First off let's start with the graphics. They're definetly Average at best. It feels cheaply made with this weird kind of horrible blend between the old 2D games and the newer 3D ones. Having said that, at least they're clear and functional. I'll also say that I've started to warm up to their picture-book-style somewhat, though I definitely prefer the charm found in the older pixel artwork. As others have noted, there are no portraits, obviously an attempt to bring down costs. Personally I feel it doesn't detract too much from the game as the writing tends to convey their emotions quite well.

As far as the game plays, this feels like a re-imagining of the GBA title. Seasons, weather, time, relationships, stamina, season sprites, mining, cooking, fishing, animals, as well as tool and house upgrades are all here. One disappointing thing I found was the removal of your pet dog, unless you stumble across one further on in the game.

The town seems a little small but there's still quite a few characters to talk to. Someone here mentioned the writing was pretty decent and I tend to agree with them. You can skip the text easily and quickly if you're not too keen on reading.

Some of the systems seem a little more simple than before, e.g. not having to throw wood into the wood hut. It's still more in-depth than anything like FarmVille and actually requires you to plan around your energy and the different seasons. The music and sound effects are all pretty average but I at least haven't felt the urge to turn it off (at least not yet). The controls are quite solid, although I would have liked an option to use a D-Pad as I found myself often accidentally digging up patches of dirt when I was trying to move. You don't have to worry about switching tools as it's all context sensitive based on what you tap.

Overall it seems to be fairly safe game which is both great news and also a little disappointing. I can't comment on the long-term content of this game, there really doesn't seem to be anything new on offer to seasoned fans. I feel like the current price of the game will probably turn away most casual gamers as and those new to the series. I almost think they would have been better off porting Friends of Mineral town and just updating the controls, which probably wasn't an option due to licensing issues.

I've always wished for a proper farming/life sim on my iPhone yet I can't help but feel like this is a missed opportunity. Still, there's enjoyment to be had and I'm glad that there's finally a game that requires more than just "tap, collect, wait". And no IAP as well!

Lifeline was fantastic. For me it took a little while to get going, but I enjoyed it a lot by the end. By the end I kept checking for new communications/updates. They nailed the end sequence and overall atmosphere. Great game, and a steal for free.

The other two are on sale, so I went ahead and bought both of them (which is obviously what they were hoping for).

So Implosion is no longer in the mix? While all of those were good, I think Implosion really set the bar for action games on iOS and deserves a nod.

While good, I look at Her Story and Hearthstone as ports so I like to see mobile originals get more notice.

Pac-Man is fun but not a top 10 game IMO.

Ok so I could see myself believe for a microsecond that Toucharcade annoying loudness about it is genuine, making a NZ account and try Clash Royale... but I'm not entirely clear on the whole account thing.
I mean I know that I will be able to play it on my main account, I know I won't be able to purchase anything unless I'm on the NZ account, but... at the end of the day, let's say the game is released worldwide and I decide to play the WW version on my main account, will my progress be saved ?
