What is with the Reservation then?

If I haven't gotten through to actually order the phone, yet I do have a reservation # that it says to complete by tomorrow at 8 PM EST .. I am still good I assume?
 
I got the email from Apple prompting me to come back and complete my order, but the site is still a mess. It says I can complete it by 5pm Saturday, maybe I'll just finish it in the morning.

I guess I'll ask again... Any iPhone 4 owners with AT&T upgrading to the 4S? If so, did you somehow get the full upgrade discount price?

Grandfathered unlimited for me, not a family plan. I do have a FAN code though, I suspect it might be that.

Worked for my wife's number (she has a reservation), but I can't even get that.

GODDAMNIT I WAS SO CLOSE WITH SPRINT. I got to the checkout page and it said it was saving my order and then I got a message saying I need to call them.

FUCK.
 
Completed two orders at AT&T.

Black 32gb, and Black 64gb. Both grandfathered unlimited plans. Confirmation of 10/14 delivery.

for those that actually got an order from att.com, did the order say expected time of arrival for the shipment?

AT&T's site held up pretty well for me. Was able to order two 4S' pretty much instantly after they added them to their inventory without issue after getting the runaround on Apple's site for 30 minutes. Hopefully they're able to deliver them on day one. :)
 
Okay I'm giving up. I have a phone reserved in what I presume is the first shipment so that will have to do for tonight. Will try to complete the order in the morning.
 
Pretty painless going through AT&T, just got a confirmation email that my order went through. As much as I really wanted tethering I just couldn't go through with paying an extra 15 dollars a month for less. I might give it a few months and see how it goes, I suppose if I change my mind they won't hesitate to "upgrade" me to the pro service.

Don't worry, there's a new unlimited plan called unlimited for iPhone 4S. You'll be able to pick that.
 
If you order through Apple, does it allow you to ship it to an address other than your billing address? Sprint won't allow me and I'd really rather send it to my work, but if there is no difference I may as well go through Sprint.
 
People getting through on AT&T, what page are you using? Upgrade Eligibility I assume?

Finally got through on Sprint! Only took an hour and 20 minutes, a kernel panic, my internet going down and my credit card company calling me about fraud but I got it! White 32GB with Applecare+.
 
So it seems as though people through AT&T Premier accounts are having problems ordering.


And why does everyone seem shocked when people are getting a 10/14 delivery date? Like I said earlier, I got my 4 a day before launch from AT&T.

Apple site just wasn't working for me so I tried doing it through Verizon's site.

Absolutely zero problems. Done in a few minutes. Thank you Verizon.

This is my first iPhone. So excited. Now it's time for bed. Good luck everyone!
 
Okay, so an hour and half later and O2 still have the 4S on "coming soon". I think I will just walk to the store in town and kick over their magazine stands
 
The Apple site is failing the eligibility check presumably because of the AT&T FAN error. However, I was able to get past the eligibility check on the Apple Store earlier, so hopefully it's just a hiccup.

I wonder if ATT is even aware... would suck if they aren't and all the FAN account peeps wont be able to get in on this batch.
