How does the Exchange support work? My work place has VPN in place so will I still be able to get my e-mail outside of work or will I still need to be VPN'ed on my work network?

VPN support is in, so you should be fine. Wouldn't be worthwhile otherwise. From the sounds of the demo, the Push functionality is very nice, quick, and well integrated.

Weird note on Giz -- "New iTunes icon?" (edit) Now has music notes in the middle.

Saw that too. Immediately wondered if it meant we could rent movies directly to the phone now. That would be sweet. :)

Only problem is my workplace uses their own VPN software to "dial-in" so to speak. Are VPN protocols basically the same and my software is just a front end? I guess it's something I'll have to ask IT.

Gizmodo's updates are incompressible. I'm following Engadget's comments which at least make sense and have substance.

Same here. And wow, you can remotely wipe the phone for security purposes now as well. That's awesome for the Enterprise market.

Very cool. So if my phone is lost or stolen I can remotely delete everything?

At least in the Enterprise Space. We'll have to wait to see if there is a way to do that for personal phones. Kind of doubt it though.

That's too bad. I wish there was a way to do that.

I had this application (3rd party) for my treo that if I text messaged a certain command to my phone it would make the phone unaccessible.

Might still happen, we'll just have to wait on more details.

SDK stuff...kinda boring. Let's see the Software Update portion that is coming next (that's the next stop on the invitation!)

10:42AM - "Next we decided, what can we do in two weeks? So we wrote a game... Touch Fighter." Dang, not bad, it's 3D, OpenGL... tap anywhere to fire, steer with the accelerometer. Lots of loud "Whoa!"-ing from the audience and applause.

:O

I hope this isn't the ultimate cocktease of a conference!

"Here's all these lovely games and apps, only took days to build, and you can have them in ... June!"

They better chuck more than firmware 1.2 up at the end of this, I have a feeling they won't though ... :-S

Including Spore! ;) Just kidding!

Seriously though, this is some amazing stuff. We're going to get some really great apps if not now, soon.

They're talking about just putting this stuff together. I doubt it would be available right away.

Though I'd be happy to be wrong!
