So freaking cool....picked up songs even from Rock Band with some tracks missing perfectly.
that always worked for me on my 1.1.1 2g iphone from september last year until i bumped up to 1.1.4 this may (and subsequently a 3g this july) -- so yeah, no clue, but i would always walk around with my headphones on, holding the phone up so i could talk into it when being called (otherwise headphones for mp3 listening, and they had no mic)DaCocoBrova said:When did they fix it so that you can leave headphones plugged in (without a mic) and talk on the phone via the iphone's built-in mic? My 2G couldn't do that, at least the last time I checked when I was on 1.1.2.
I'm so glad they fixed that.
same deal with me on some apps, specifically the ap mobile news updated version. had to jump back down to the old version just to get it to work...Vik_Vaughn said:I seem to randomly have issues with apps just not working. where is this crash log, and need i be jailbroken to access it? i've never bothered pwning my 2.0/2.1 firmware on my 3g, so i've been out of the loop for a couple months. either way, i'd like to look at my crash logs, because i'm sure it's something like 500 crashes of mobilesafari since i got my 3g. thing fails like you (would)n't believe. i can always, always, always, always get it to crash on a couple of websites using 2.0.2 or higher that it NEVER crashed all last year on my 2g or on 2.0/.1 once on (www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith fyi). my phone does not like having that website load completely - i always have to stop it from loading all the way or bam, instant crash. a couple other random sites, but nothing as consistent. anyways, help locating the crash log would be much appreciated.goodcow said:Yes.
I've had 446 crashes (according to the crash logs) since launch day in MobileSafari.
*golf clap for Apple*
Do not start typing until the page fully loads. Write very short replies. The slowness happens once you have to scroll horizontally. Then if you keep trying to go on as it tries to catch up, it crashes.dLMN8R said:So does anyone have a workaround for posting on GAF from their iPhone? The site looks and work freaking great - even the real site, not the web application - but whenever I go to post or reply, the text entry just slows to shit and eventually crashes the browser.
Still crashes very often with me.Terrell said:I've noticed two things that prevent MobileSafari from crashing much much less:
1) Not using the iPod section while browsing
2) Having more that 75MB of free space on the flash drive
Not sure exactly what the correlation is, but it made my browsing a fair bit more stable.

any advice on what good and EASY to use program to download?
infiniteloop said:handbrake
It means that one of the following are the case:
a) You have not selected a valid input source - Make sure you have selected the "VIDEO_TS" folder on the DVD you are trying t encode.
b) You are trying to rip a copy protected disc without using a disc ripper. - Use a ripper, There are plenty available.
c) Either the disc protection scheme is too tough for your ripper of choice, or the disc is malformed. - The only option is to switch to a different ripper.
Note: AnyDVD (Commercial) is the best solution on the Windows platform. Most problems can be resolved by using it! DVD43 (Free) is an alternative however does not support many newer encryptions.
I think the answer is DFU mode.WordAssassin said:Ok, so, jailbroke my iPhone 3G. It was totally awesome. Saw a picture of someone using an NES emulator on it to play Mario. Thought I'd try it out. Installed it, and now my iPhone shows the apple logo for two minutes, vibrates twice, apple logo two minutes, vibrates twice, apple logo, vibrate, apple logo, goes to the unlock screen for a FLASH, gets recognized by iTunes for a FLASH, and then repeats the whole thing over and over. So this is the price I've paid for Mario and I assume I've borked my phone. Is there any way to get the damn thing to stop booting and rebooting long enough to restore it, or am I just totally fucked? It's done this cycle like 5 times now BTW.

Oh, thank God. This totally worked. I love having it jailbroken, and will likely re-jailbreak, but I totally don't need Mario that badly. :lolhirokazu said:I think the answer is DFU mode.

As great as jailbreaking is, you must be wary of what can potentially go wrong. Most problem can be fixed by a restore at worst, but backups are essential.
They should be under warranty if it was less than a year. Take it to a Apple store and get some new ones.vicissitudes said:So the headphones that came with my iPhone just broke. It's lasted just over a year. Is this above/below average? Anyway Apple had better come out with those in-ear headphones quick because I'm without headphones right now.![]()
The next version of Handbrake adds the ability to encode video files other than VIDEO_TS and you can download an early development version here.robertsan21 said:any other progam that I can just drop the file AVI, dvix vlc or whatever and it converts it automaticly without me having to any crack or shit
