Does googletalk auto log you out after so many hours? I just set my inactive time to 24 hours but I wasn't sure if i gotta relog into it every once in a while with beejive because that would suck
I got a notification that I was logged out of Google and Facebook since I set it for an hour so I think it will tell you when you're logged out.TurtleSnatcher said:Does googletalk auto log you out after so many hours? SnakeXs said:So, does anyone know if I can get my Google Maps locations stuff synced with iPhone Google Maps?
SnakeXs said:Quoting this for the new page, and while I'm at it I'll throw another related question. Is there any real, seamless way to take a photo with the camera, and be able to pin it's geotag location in Google Maps? Say, if I wanna remember a location to come back to with my real camera or something.
Sean said:Every photo taken with the iPhone camera is geotagged (if you didn't disable that). If you have something like iPhoto 09 with the Places feature you'll be able to see them on a map there when you import them. I don't think you're able to do anything like that on the phone itself though (at least not without a third party app).

When are they going to fix the 'slide to view screen' so that it can also display reminders and so forth?
It's bullshit, Yahoo mail has supported push almost since day one.DarkJC said:Gmail still doesn't support push-imap, and the Google exchange servers only support push contacts and calendars...come on google, just flip that switch!
It all depends on your status.Gary Whitta said:I just had someone send me an IM and it pushed right through to my iPhone home screen. Fuckin sweet!
EDIT: Weird, I've got my iPhone IM app and Pidgin open on my desktop right now and IMs are going straight to the iPhone but not to my desktop. Shouldn't it go to both? Must remember to turn Push off when I'm at my desk![]()

edit: well the above poster had a different experience but mine wasn't that great, maybe they've improved it now.

bdizzle said:Push doesn't seem to work on my aim client are yall using the free one or the paid aim app? Do you have to be on AT&T for it to work?
Marty Chinn said:I'm getting disconnected from AIM in BeeJive a lot within the last hour. Anyone else having issues? I hope this stuff smooths out cuz right now I don't have any faith in the reliability of the app. I just want to be logged in all the time and not worry about if I'm on or not or if my messages are coming through or not.
Sean said:I don't use AIM, but did you update it to the latest version from the App Store? And are you running OS 3.0?

B!TCH said:Push and the update to 3.0 on BeeJive is pretty cool but the unresolved bugs in BeeJive are really starting to annoy me. For a paid app it should be a lot better. A lot better.
Marty Chinn said:Ya, I'm running 3.0 for both the OS and BeeJive. It's just been really flakey since the update. Push IM has been a pretty important feature for me so I'm a bit disappointed with the unreliablity so far. I'm willing to chalk it up to launch rough edges since it just got released but I really do hope it smooths out over the next few days.
DarkJC said:Pretty sure he was talking about the AIM app there, not BeeJive..
That's one fine girlfriend you got there sir. Should treat her nice and such.Battlezone said:OMG.
Crazymoogle said:Hmm. 3.0 seems a little flakey to me. Sometimes my 3G runs into these weird non-responsive moments, like it missed detecting my finger on a few consecutive unlock attempts, and while watching a TV show it just locked out the tap-to-show-UI function for awhile. Nothing consistent, just feels like burps in the OS.
Anybody else running into stuff like this much?
Chiggs said:Christ, this wait for my 32gb is unbearable. I can't even bring myself to look at this piece of shit Sprint phone I have.
Okay people are experiencing the issues I have been..Tobor said:I had this happen tonight. I closed the iPod app and reopened it and it was fine. /shrugs
Like you said, hopefully just a burp.
TurtleSnatcher said:Okay people are experiencing the issues I have been..
I also run into the screen not responding on the slide to unlock sometimes and sometimes my whole screen just becomes unresponsive until I knock it into sleep mode then back out.
Maybe it is an OS issue and not a 3GS issue that I thought it was..
Either way I still have an appt with an apple genius on Thursday about this.
Maybe I'm missing what "push" entails, but I have my Pre set to "as emails arrive" on my gmail account and I get my emails instantly...are you talking about something else?DarkJC said:Gmail still doesn't support push-imap, and the Google exchange servers only support push contacts and calendars...come on google, just flip that switch!

Had the T-Mobile Dash a while ago. It was bearable, and small. Lost it twice in 2 shitty incidents in like, 2 months. Insurance didn't cover it (Why'd I pay for it, again?) so I got a free loaner phone.

I vowed not to make it permanent. I didn't let myself save any numbers, going just on recent calls and texts as a reference. It was horrible.
Luckily the dark days are behind me. :lol

I waited around 10 hours for the phone to activate. Finally tried that site and it worked soon as I rebooted.
The OS isn't to blame for this, it's Beejive, as several users have push working and there is an unknown variable at play. One of the main suspects is your network dropping to EDGE, but that's not confirmed. Temporarily turning off and re-activating 3G seems to fix it for some. Doesn't help me since I don't have a 3G, but... hey, whatever.Jtwo said:So... I updated BeejiveIM enabled push notications. Double checked everything and.... it just doesn't fucking work.
><
I am so fed up with all this bullshit. I am sick of this stupid ass limited OS.
LaneDS said:Here's a question for last.fm users. For the longest time I was under the impression that the iPhone couldn't be scrobbled, however recently upon connecting the iPhone my last.fm client has popped up with a box asking to scrobble however many tracks I had listened to, which was awesome and unexpected. My problem is that this only seems to happen sometimes, and I have no idea what I did or didn't do to get it to scrobble my tracks.
Any advice?
Chiggs said:Jesus, that is pretty bad.

hEist said:yeah i know this problem. Don't know what to to. But i do once a week a "manual scrobble" of my tracks.
LastFm->help->diagnostics->ipod scrobbling-> "i manage my ipod by myself" ... scrobble.
Dont know, why lastfm messed up scrobbles :/
