Iron Man director Jon Favreau has announced that the first official teaser trailer will be revealed on September 10:

For those of you who have been Jonesing to see the Comic Con footage, we now have an official teaser trailer that incorporates much of the same imagery. Paramount is debuting the piece in its entirety across the Viacom Network's highest rated programs. The first appearance will be immediately before the Hills on MTV on 9/10. I've listed the schedule of other slots that Paramount marketing has sent me below.

A hi-res version will appear on Apple.com/trailers on 9/11 for those of you who, for whatever reason, choose not to TiVo The Hills.

Comedy Central: The Daily Show 10-Sep
MTV: The Hills 10-Sep (the break leading into the show)
Spike TV : CSI 11-Sep
VH1: The Rock Life 10-Sep
BET: Baldwin Hills 11-Sep
CMT : Trick My Truck 10-Sep
Logo : Rick & Steve 11-Sep
MTV2: Room 401 10-Sep
NAN : Fresh Prince 10-Sep
The N: Fresh Prince 11-Sep
TV Land: Andy Griffith 11-Sep
The Daily Show Sep 10 here I come.

Like I said in the other thread, I think it looks good but it's also kind of cheesy. Which I don't really have a problem with (with the exception of, like, Batman & Robin) but I know a lot of GAFers do. Whatever.

Probably the best thing about this trailer is that it gives me faith in Marvel as a pretty competent film studio.

The trailer soundtrack made me think I was in high school.

I can't remember the name of the first one, but it was in Strangeland, and Hey Man Nice Shot was what, '95?

I don't get why people hate cheese on a super-hero movie. It comes with the genre sure you can avoid it like Batman Begins but why can't we have both kinds of movies?

yeah I heard that as well although I'm a bit pissed off ol' Nick only got The Hoff

I could have seen Clooney playing Fury. The Ultimate Universe Fury is essentially based off of Sam Jackson so it works.

That looked AWESOME!!!!! I had no hype for this movie before seeing the trailer, and now I cannot wait! I was never even a fan of Iron Man. Eeee!!!

Wait what?

I have been saying that for ages.

Ultimate Nick fury > normal nick fury

I disagree but I'll take either one. Hopefully now that all the movie properties are reverting back to Marvel we'll start to see more characters from the comics crossing over.

argh!!! The screen ratio is screwing up any sort of avatar goodness. This is barely all I got after some cropping.

Could you cut out some of that dead space on the left side?

It is too large as it is.

...wow.

I had zero interest in this until the trailer. Aside from Iron Man outrunning a pair of F22s, it looked cool...that part just seemed silly.

Sillier than a man with a glowing chest heart thing in a suit of iron flying? :P I thought the trailer looked cool, in Favreu I trust

That looked better than I expected. A little cheesy, but I'm keeping my eye on this.

This is the second time I've agreed with you in two days. Twilight Zone indeed.

I assumed this would be a train wreck, but the teaser actually had me pumped. As with Uncharted, cautiously optimistic.

Anyone seen the 1080p HD version of the teaser trailer? Pretty slick, especially at the end.

I hadn't before, but I just noticed today that it's hidden on disc one of the Transformers HDDVD set.
It's not listed in the Extras menu, but if you let the movie play all the way through to the end of the credits or skip the credits with the chapter skip button, it pops up as an option.

That pic is from the new preview that will premiere during the Super Bowl this coming Sunday!
