I've been looking over Andy Kaufman's supposed return blog, and then over the Snopes thing about Andy Kaufman, trying to figure out if he's dead or not. I mean, the blog looks pretty good, and pretty convincing, but I don't know if it's really him. Maybe this is what Andy wanted...

I'm confused. Can anybody give me a straight answer? Or maybe just an opinion.. consensus opinion might help me decide.

There's an urban legend that he faked his death (I believe he even joked about doing so). The movie Man on the Moon alludes to this. At the end of the movie

Tony Clifton is seen performing while Bob Zmuda watches. The only two people who ever played Clifton were Kaufman and Zmuda.

Some people think the blog is just done by Zmuda as another elaborate joke.

Imagine if he did fake his death and Jim Carrey actually met Kaufman while preparing for the movie.

I vote 'yes' on the dead. The blog seemed fake to me. However, Andy probably would fake his own death, drop out thespotlight, then decide to stay out of the spotlight. IMAGINE all the interviews and shite.

Well he did say if he did fake his death he'd come back 20 years to the day. That was earlier this year,t hey had a big party and Zmuda was dressed up as Clifton but Andy didn't return
