I've been waiting months to throw that one out. There have been at least three times where I've had a thread entitled "Missing Link Found" all ready to go, but I've never been able to find the right picture of her.

Man, I'm sweating bullets over whether or not HBO is gonna bring this back for a 3rd season. It'd be a crying shame to get cancelled after this season, as I want to know what was the grand scheme / plan for the series was going to be in 5 seasons. AICN had it posted earlier that both The Wire and Carnivale were in limbo, but now they're reporting that the Wire has been picked up again.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SAVE CARNIVALE. I can't lose both AD and Carnivale in the same year.

I have to wonder if HBO just plays these games in order to encourage fans to buy the merchandise and spread the good word about the shows. After all, HBO knows that we know that these shows aren't exactly their huge hits in terms of audience draw, so HBO can only benefit by making us wait in anticipation really. People buy the DVDs, recommend the shows to friends, etc. Even if HBO knows it will renew the series, why tell people that before they really need to?

As for me, I would love to see Dan Knauf's complete saga unfold, but I don't want it to get cancelled halfway there. This needs a proper conclusion, so I wish HBO would at least tell Knauf whether he'll get the full run or not. If they want to keep us in suspense, fine, but I'll be super pissed if the show just ends without a resolution, especially since this season seems to be heading towards a [potential] natural ending point.

After these two seasons, it just seems too rich a universe to let die. I could be a happy man if I could tune in on Sunday nights for years to come, even if I was just watching spin-offs. If they were to do a prequel series with Scutter at Ben's age I would be there. Besides it would involve Lodz and Lodz kicks ass. They could do a series that took place with new children of light and dark in the 80's with bad hair, and I'd be there. Deep down, I think it'll be renewed, but there's still a little fear that I'll be reading CARNIVAL NO MORE tomorrow or the next day.

I think that what's happening. I mean
Ben's a hundred feet from Justin now and one will probably be dead in two episodes. They seem to keep saying "final battle", "only two episodes left" in the promos.
It's so depressing that the quality shows don't survive anymore.

Not gonna happen. Sophie's the Omega, and besides, Knauf's been saying since day one that this story is about the end of all of this, which is also mentioned in Samson's speeches in the season openers. The end of the time of magic and beginning of the age of reason is the invention of the A-bomb according to him. It seems pretty clear that the end of the whole conflict between avatars is fast approaching.

Samson: Before the beginning, after the great war between Heaven and Hell, God created the Earth and gave dominion over it to the crafty ape he called man. And to each generation was born a creature of light and a creature of darkness. And great armies clashed by night in the ancient war between good and evil. There was magic then, nobility, and unimaginable cruelty. And so it was until the day that a false sun exploded over Trinity, and man forever traded away wonder for reason.

What an intense episode. More secrets are out! Murder is in the cards! And the preview for next week looks fucking awesome!

HBO is billing it as the SEASON finale and not the SERIES finale, so I'm pretty confident it'll be back.

Yay, they're renewing for 3rd season.

The preview for the last epidsoe of "season 2" next week blew my mind. Omigosh, i'm about to crap my pant now!!!! :lol

Yowza. I was on the edge of my seat at the end when
Sophie, Justin and Ben were all within 10 feet of each other. Iris was fun. I love seeing her rebel against Justin and their silent war. "It was my idea." Awesome.

The scene with Jonesy's reveal was amazing. It's interesting to see the awakenings on both sides, between Justin and Ben's worlds. People have been strongly affected by both of their actions, and in both good and bad ways.

Next week is going to be intense. The anticipation is going to kill me.

You think you've got it bad? I'll be on a cruise boat in the middle of the Carribean. I can't watch the finale until I get back on the FOURTH. Woe is me!

I think Justin's overconfidence in his powers is ultimately his downfall. He was doing terrific when he was just a mortal, playing all his pawns while secretly keeping his real motivations to himself. Now he's forsaken many of his old allies and burned a lot of bridges in the process. Whereas Ben is quickly gaining friends to be on his side, Justin is finding out that he really doesn't have any.

Especially with the whole Iris development.

Don't forget forcing Norman to watch. Brother Justin likes it when his adopted father watches...
