I try to avoid IE, but I sometimes need it for the Web based version due to the way Outlook looks and acts best in IE8. Are there any extensions for a more contemporary browser?

I run an Exchange farm and unfortunately have to say that yes, its better on IE. There are a few features that are either not shown or difficult to get to if you use Firefox/Chrome/Safari. I've also had instances where Firefox would forget to render the entire folders list.

In my experiences, yes IE is still king with Exchange OWA.

I guess it makes sense. MS wants to drive use within its ecosystem. Sucks because I hate IE8/9
