Is GAF too strict?

I quite liked Sentry's post here.
Banned or not, the doesn't feel bad. :p

But seriously, your post is informative, specifically about derailings. I don't think a lot of people (myself included) understand exactly how that usually works, or what warrants consequence in those cases. I remember the punishment for those in the gaming side (back then, anyway) being especially brutal. Don't think OT really experiences that as much unless, like you said, it's something absurd but still relating to the topic.

I'm surprised nobody's made "Who will get banned"-bingo cards or something similar to that yet. That seems like a thing some gaffers would do.

Maybe that's just gaming-side behaviour though.

I'm a european and I'm not offended.

If we actually are part neanderthal, it's a simple fact.

If we aren't, it's a lie/attempted insult, so what?

People are offended far too easily nowadays. Bunch of sissies.

Agreed. I'm a neanderthal but I have no problem when people call me European.

Man, all these people running around like headless chickens are making my night

But for another, I think it demonstrates a worldview that assumes anybody who acts offended by somebody's post is either faking it for devious reasons of their own or actively seeking out being offended for the affect of it all, aka borderline personality disorder -- because there's no way anybody could be GENUINELY offended by that post. Frankly, this kind of question-begging seems far more echo chambery to me than the people who are trying to explain exactly why they think such statements are problematic and harmful to the community.

Weren't you one of the posters mocking Republicans for being faux-outraged a while ago in one of the Biden threads?

So what's going to happen in 45 minutes? Are a bunch of names in those two threads going to turn grey at once? Is bish going to make a statement?
