There have been cases, and one in particular that I remember, but it was an out of character emotional overreaction. Plus I like that poster, so I'm not gonna link. Can you give me a single link where cis was used as an insult?
Probably not.Though I wonder. Does Clark actually find "stop being such a cis" offensive,
C'mon son...or is he just mad that he can't openly insult transsexual people?
Whats a 50ppper?

50 post per page pagan.
50 posts per page as opposed to 100 posts per page.
50 posts per page users. They're animals they are.
A miserable pile of posts.
C'mon son...
Let's not speculate that your fellow posters have the worst of intentions.

It's only unacceptable if you mean to imply that all women are Cowards. So in another thread, a poster put a link to a picture of Obama being accused of being a "pussy." Is this an acceptable or unacceptable use?

I'd argue that it's unacceptable because of the gendered usage of the word. By implying that he's less of a man ("a pussy"), it thus infers that women are as well and does nothing but enforce gender roles.
Can someone clarify to me why everybody's so stressed out about douche all of a sudden? See, now that strikes me as the very definition of manufactured outrage. Who, exactly, is arguing genuinely that it is sexist?
Douche is not something I am freaking out about, but if you are arguing that insults that reference women are sexist, douche most assuredly is included.
But douche is french for shower.
That's not the rule.
But douche is french for shower.
Come on dude, you really think were going to fall for that? We know the french don't have showers.
*low blow*
My smartphone can't handle giffy gaf over a 3G connection. I'm a 50ppp'er and damn proud of it.
This post is racist and you should be banned immediately.
Hmm.. :/From a few pages back:
So, yeah.
Do you consider the arguments I quoted in my post to be misguided? That's not the rule.
This post is racist and you should be banned immediately.
What would you say the rule appears to be at the moment?
And faggot is English for pork meatball. Douche as an insult is referencing female genitalia as a negative property.

Is the word used to marginalize or insult women for being women? Yes or no.

No, can't men be douchebags? It sort of took a meaning of its own, sort of like "idiot jerk", it has nothing to do with women anymore.
Historically? Yes.
Contemporarily? It depends on context.
'Douchebag' is almost always used towards men.

I think what people don't really get that about this kind of speech if you look at another way is that:So in another thread, a poster put a link to a picture of Obama being accused of being a "pussy." Is this an acceptable or unacceptable use?
Yes, my question was rhetorical.
Can't men be pussies, bitches, and whores?
The only thing that happens when you try and stop/ban offensive words people will always create new one's with more or less the same meaning. Don't worry though 10 years from now every word will be offensive, in which case just opening your mouth will be an offence to people, I can see it from the stars I can.
I like this, I'va always known it as "error on..." and whether or not it was a mistake doesn't matter. This sounds like the title of a great album or book.air on the side of caution

Err on the side of caution.
And it is good advice.
Now that just took it to a more composed level, for me. I agree.Bachs Air on the side of caution would be awesome.
