Is SiN worth a purchase?

Probably worth it. When I bought it initially I was pretty displeased due to the bugs, but now that they've all been ironed out it's not a bad game.. just kind of average. The locational damage and interactive consoles were neat when it came out. You can also force it into a co-op mode with a couple console commands which helps the entertainment value.

Best thing to do is just try the demo.

What is SiN?
PC FPS that came out not too long before Half-Life.

Oh, okay. I thought it was some sort of abbreviation or short lingo for Sin and Punishment....then I saw $5 price and I nearly freaked

SiN was fun. The graphics are a bit dated now, but the levels are varied enough to keep it fun. Lots of items, guns, enemies, etc.

I especially liked using computers.

If it's cheap, sure.

I didn't finish it back then because at some point in the middle, the level design really got lame. Especially that part where you keep swimming...god.

But I also remember it as being pretty fun until that point. Location damage was definitely something I had fun with.

Wow, that's great! I have a lot of problems trying to run SiN on WindowsXP mainly due to the sound config.

A quick question: Would be the original SiN available from Steam?

I do believe gamespot did a vid interview I watched with a rep from CES this year, where he said they might be making the original available on steam

Ritual wants to make the original SiN available and also a Source version (currently on hold until they finish more important things)
