Terminator 4 (2006)

old I assume, but I didn't know it was confirmed. I cannot imagine a T4 without Arnold though. Anyone know anymore details on it?

I just saw T3 today again after a couple of years since I saw it in the theatres. It's actually much better than I remember it to be. Arnold's one-liners are always good, and I will miss his action movies. The ending is also very good, and not tpyical cliche.

I don't think I'll really mind Arnold not being in it. It'll just be the robot versions of him anyway.

P.S. Terminator 3 was pretty good.

Yeah, but Arnold is(was) a great action star at the same time he had charm. There is no one that can replace him really.

I thought I heard that there had been discussions of bringing in another Big guy to play the machine role... Like The Rock or something... It may only have been rumours..

Of course. No way around it now, though.

I really don't see the point. They ended the series pretty well with T3.

Actually I would love to see John Connor back once again since it makes sense. He didn't
die until 2032

yep sadly he is old and out of shape now. Though it wouldn't take him that long to get in shape I guess. Then again he is doing other things in his career now, heh.

If the series ended well then how come the future cyborgs still sending terminators to annihilate John Connor. John Connor and the people in the future are still constantly fighting the cyborgs.

Terminator 4:
We need to see John Connor and his comrades in the future to put a stop on the cyborgs from sending terminators altering the past and they need to destroy the terminator plant manufactures.(<~~~ ~~~~Maybe someone here on the board can explain it better than i can. )

Boy, oh boy.... talking about timeline and altering the past can really put a dent in your head.

Agreed. The series hasn't ended.

I guess you really didn't understand the blatant irony of T3.

No matter what happens from now on, John Connor lives, leads the resistance, and they win. No matter what happens, he gets terminated in 2032 by the same terminator (T3) that saved his life. He knew this and accepted his fate.

That's what I said but
it bodes well for a T4 and see when it really ends.

That picture is pre-T3.

It's still supposedly coming (definitely not in 2006, though that should've been obvious by now), though there hasn't been any news in a while. None of the T3 cast will be back (except maybe an Arnold cameo).

I was hoping someone would metion that. I believe I read that hey worked out full time for 6 months to get into shape for t3. And he was in his 50s.

I think I need to watch T3 again. I don't think I was giving it enough credit when I watched it for the first time.

I liked T3 a lot more than I expected to, and yah I thought at the time they had agreed to do 3 more movies. The next two happening post-fallout, and outside of a short appearance i don't think you wouild really need Arnold for those.

I think the fact that John found out that he was going to get killed and that humans were going to win without him anyways was a pretty good drama bomb when you think about it.

Nothing wrong with that. It's not like Arnold can act well either.

Arnold was always very charismatic, filled his good roles exceptionally well, and his European accent lended certain credibility he otherwise wouldn't have had if he was vanilla american. He simply looked the part too. I can believe him as the characters he plays in Predator, Terminator, Total Recall, and True Lies and never once did he take me out of the film or do something to call attention to his acting.

That picture is older than the hills around the time of his heart trouble. Since T3, he's been in shape.

There should be a T4 but not for a few years. I like the idea of a new one every 8-10 years or so.

*Envisions possible scenario if Arnold loses election for governor*

Arnold's Concession Speech: "I'll be back!.... in Terminator 4, Summer 2007! I'll also be working on the campaign committee to elect my good friend Carl Weathers governor! Mr. Ventura will be the coffee-and-doughnuts boy!"

First I'd like to see a T3 re-released with the half hour of cut footage (mostly future war stuff). I liked T3 the way it is anyway, but I'm greedy.

And T4 doesn't need Arnie for much...maybe showing an assembly line full of naked Arnolds, or showing the pivitol scene when one of the T-101's are awoken and sent back in time. Or even the scene when he kills (or doesn't kill) John. But that's about it. Otherwise it's all about future war business...Connor and his comrades versus the machines in a knock down, drag out throw down. With nukes.

T3 was pretty damn good. We don't get such hardcore action movies very often nowadays, and it's brutal action felt so refreshing after years of coreographed wire-fu.
