Is there a developer you would miss badly if they folded?

I just had to ask.

Anyhow, if say Snowblind Studios was fold(I pray to god they they don't), I personally don't think I could pick up a controller again. If there was developer that really made feel much like a gamer again(aside from Surreal Software), it was Snowblind. To put it straight, the day they go is the day I quit gaming.

Renovation Oh wait....

Wow, I'd never let my whole enjoyment of gaming as a hobby depend on the succes of one single developer. Although I bet Snowblind is doing pretty well right now, it's very likely that they'll split up or reorganise or whatever at one point in time.. Hope you really wouldn't quit gaming when that day comes !

Anyway, for me it'd probably be Bioware.. Ever since Baldur's Gate they've been releasing quality games with the kind of personality I really enjoy.

Nintendo and Blizzard I'd miss the most. It's hard to attach to other companies because their dev teams keep going elsewhere, or EA kills them off or steals a license.

Treasure, BioWare, Capcom, Nintendo (despite the fact that they frustrate me more than most...it would be a dark day if they "folded")

Tons more...honestly, there's a lot of talent out there. But information about those companies games probably interests me the most.

Snowblind display a trait like in a developer -- independent, small, teaming with creativity, low profile, and have alot of potential for the future. Essentially, like how many hold say Treasure in high regards, so do I hold them in high regards. In the end, SB is rare sight not mention a "Maverick".

Nintendo, Bioware, Bethesda, Capcom, ....

Heck, just throw them all in there. I don't want any developers to fold.

Nintendo, Blizzard, Bioware, CLOVER STUIDOS, and Sonic Team (even though their current state kills me, I'd still miss them)

Nintendo...there are too many good parts of it like Intelligent Systems, Hal, Retro, and the newly proven Tokyo division that I would miss too much.

I would miss Capcom too, but not nearly as much as Nintendo.

Nintendo, the Square side of squareenix, Namco, Capcom, Konami, Bioware, Blizzard, Valve, Epic, and Sega even though they are sucking right now. I miss Westwood Studios (damn you EA).

Nintendo would be my main pick, followed by Valve and Blizzard.

Capcom and Konami would also come up but I could probably live without 80% of what both of them produce while my top 3 i am always waiting to see what they bring out next.

BioWare, Blizzard, and Id to a certain extent, although I think Carmack would still hang around to push engine technology. (Then again, maybe not, with his rocket project and all.)

Rockstar (the GTA team in particular) I would miss badly. Blizzard to a lesser degree (since there is only 2 games of theirs I really like). There is so many others that I want to put here but can't cause they are either already gone (like bullfrog or origin) or I don't like the games they make now (like konami, capcom, or sega).

Ah Sierra..oh wait..doh.. well a great many of them actually, but they all have room for improvement next gen though.

I think its safe to say that if any of the "traditional" classic dev studios were to go under, Nintendo, Capcom, Konami, Sega (maybe...), SquareEnix, etc, there would definitely be a lot of people upset, and most certianly be felt industry-wide.

I'd be upset if any of Namco, Bungie, Capcom, Nintendo

stopped making games.

Capcom and especially Production Studio 4

Konami especially KCET (Pro Evo/Winning Eleven games)

There's loads I'd miss but gaming wouldn't be the same if Capcom disappeared, IMO
