Is there anyway to play GBC game with a backlight other then the GBASP?

I really, really don't like the GBASP. Especially for GBC games. Its stretches it out and makes it all distorted, or you have to play with big black bars on the side of the screen. But it seems to be the only way for me to play my old GBC games with a backlight. Is there any way to play my GBC cartridges on something that is backlite? Does the GB Micro allow you to play GBC games?

You really don't need THAT much light for GBC games. Since they have less detail it's a lot easier make out what you're looking at.

Theoretically, yes. Good luck with this one.

You realize that, even with the bars, that the viewing area is the same size as the screen on the original Game Boy models, right? I don't see what the big deal is about the bars. The original Game Boy had a huge black border around the screen, as I recall. What's the difference?

GBAsp Backlit edition is the only way to go. Gameboy Micro and the DS don't play GB/GBC games.

This is not true, the physical viewing area size is actually slightly smaller on the GBA since the GBA's screen has a higher dot pitch (Each pixel is physically smaller than the GBC)

Personally I actually really like playing GBC games on the GBAsp2! :D
