Is this a good Pre build PC?

As much as I love my PS5 I been thinking of expanding my horizons I want something with good specs but around 2500$ at most.(y)

While not terrible, the GPU is weak for that price and that CPU overkill. I'd balance them a bit better. I would also imagine it sports a needlessly overpriced motherboard as they usually do.

I'd downgrade the CPU to something like a 9700X and use the money to upgrade the GPU to a 9070 XT or 5070 Ti.

Also, since it's Cyberpower, it's probably using a POS PSU and OEM motherboard that limit your upgrade and customization options.

No, it's too unbalanced and lopsided. It has a great CPU, middling and hobbled RAM, and garbage GPU. I would recommend finding something that addresses those latter two points.

It's curious while in Europe the consoles are overpriced as fuck normally, PC's seem cheaper here, at least judging by the few images i've seen from americans looking for a new PC.

As Skifi said it looks quite unbalanced, the newest and best CPU with a 5070 which is great but it plays 1-2 leagues behind that CPU, if you are aiming at 1080p with a really high framerate it'll do fine, otherway i'd look for something more balanced, can't help sadly since i only know European sites tho

looks like an excellent build to me for that price. Would also check motherboard and PSU specs. Dont see how you could get a "better GPU" and still keep it close to that price. People are dreaming.

What motherboard and psu? Can you link it? Problem with prebuilts is theyll use cheapest mobo that has compatibility and same for psu. Psu is also one thing you font wanna skimp out for as it sgreat for future upgrades and actually protecting your pc from going up in flames. Motherboard benefits would be more m.2 slots, more ram support, extra fast usb a or c slots, futureproofing for new cpus sometimes etc.

To be fair, if you go to their site and do customized build they have a shitload of options.

Another thing to do is if you have a Microcenter, get the parts and they will build the PC for you for like $300.

Its good but I would get a more powerful gpu. Most games are using UE5 and you need a very good GPU to be able to render the games with good visual quality. Go for 5080 at least

If you can stretch a touch more to a 5070ti or 9070xt that would be a good build.

I'd just get clarification on the motherboard and psu, nvme first.

Thanks I'll keep looking.
It'll always sound like this I'm afraid 😕

My first was a custom shop build, that's what I would recommend. They cost more than if you build it yourself but you can choose the parts and you don't have to build it, a good custom PC shop knows what parts are stable and they do stability tests too, you can state that you want it quiet as well and they'll choose parts for that.

For me it was the perfect start into PC gaming. Today I build everything myself, and enjoy doing it, but it took a couple smaller upgrades until I dared doing the whole thing myself.

that's always the case with these pre builts... always an i7 or Ryzen 7 mixed with mid range GPUs
they know they wouldn't sell many higher end CPUs otherwise, as no gamer getting a mid range GPU really needs them and the market for users that mainly need a productivity machine is way smaller.

It's not a bad price for what you're getting but as others have said, what you're getting is a 12GB card you probably do not want to get stuck with paired with an outstanding CPU.

What a sad time for buying PC parts though, we're in a zone of rising costs occurring between the launch of a nerfed 50 series and their rumored follow-up versions packing more RAM around the corner.

What new games are you hoping to play with your new $2K machine that you are missing out on with PS5?

My 2 cents.. don't go for the top line cpu.. it's unneeded. There is a harsh bell curve for price to performance as you reached the newest products.
