Hey guys,
I'm thinking about purchasing a HD TV relatively soon and I saw that Dell has a new promotion for their TVs. I know shit about TVs and what's a good value, but they currently offer $700 off of their 42'' model set, making the final price $2,700.
Here's the link:

Is it worth it?
Should I wait a few months and wait for future price drops, or would any cost reductions within the next half-year be minimal?
They compare this model to another TV that's over $5,000. Is it a fair comparison? (I can't find the link to it anymore, but a $2,700 HDTV versus a $5,000 TV seems like there should be some significant differences)
Also...how are Plasma TVs for burn-in? I remember in the past that it was pretty much a no-no to play games on them...is that still the case?
