I remember one morning getting up early for school, a little earlier than usual so I had some time to spare so I turned the tv on in the living room while there was that sort of blue darkness outside just before the light of the sunrise. I changed it to either MTV or BET I can’t remember but I want to say BET and I caught it right from the beginning, listening to “My Place” by Nelly for the first time

Really fond of that memory. It’s a fucking dope ass R&B song which is rare because usually I never can find one that is even close to listening to. And the chick in the music video is fucking unbelievably gorgeous. Smooth track by Nelly, I gotta say I was always impressed by this one. The instrumental in itself is heavenly. But Nelly laces the track with thoughtful lyrics and Jaheim doing his thing makes it even better. The place in the end of the vid looks like paradise too
