The Ten Most Stolen Cars In America in 2011

1994 Honda Accord-The most stolen vehicle in the country, however, is a '94 Accord. It's light on its feet, it's got great visibility, and it's durable. We wish all new family sedans were as nice as these old Hondas. The only problem with them is that no less than a week after you steal yours, someone will steal it back.

1998 Honda Civic-The #2 most stolen car in 2011 again shows how Honda in the ‘90s nailed what we want in a family car. These are the last really great Civics, with low weight (2,400-2,500 pounds) and spry handling. You can have fun in even the most basic models, especially if you're joyriding someone else's car.

2006 Ford F-150

1991 Toyota Camry

2000 Dodge Caravan

1994 Acura Integra-The '94 Integra is down at the #6 most stolen spot, but that's probably because they're harder to find than anything else on the list. If these Integras were as common as Civic, people would be jacking them daily. They're about the best handling front-wheel-drive cars that were ever sold in America.
An Integra is happiest when you're driving it like you stole it. That's convenient, since most of the time it's a car thief behind the wheel.

1999 Chevy Silverado

2004 Dodge Ram

2002 Ford Explorer

1994 Nissan Sentra

Are these getting stolen for parts? Or because they are easy to hide in plain sight?
I figured Hyundai would have a car in the list, they are pretty popular now.

The least stolen car is the Toyota Prius.

*scans for busted-ass 1999 ford ranger* PHEW GUESS ITS SAFE

Should have gotten the Silverado.
I see these guys with brand new Silverado's driving to an office job. I'm wondering how many times does one haul stuff to the office and what kind of mileage do they get in stop and go traffic?

90's Honda Civic is on top because it is notoriously easy to break into, not because its "fun to drive" or whatever

I wonder if joyriders pushed it up or if the parts are valuable? Lot's of older cars are easy to steal. Or perhaps lot's of the Civics still around?

Not really. The F-150 and Silverado are generally the best selling vehicles in America.

So explain the Dodge Caravan. Every Caravan I know about is being repaired some time this week, they break down all the time. Maybe they need cheap parts?

My first car was a Sentra around that year, blue, hand-me-down from my parents. Dependable as hell. That thing would have probably ran forever if some dick didn't cause me to total it in a ditch. :/

You steal a 90's Civic you are guaranteed to find someone to buy it, or all the parts one way or another. Just a dependable all around decent vehicle that people are used to.

Charger isn't on there. Good.

If a Prius' alarm system was disabled without any issue, the culprit could drive off without anyone hearing them. Oddly, every Prius I'm ever behind has one non-working tail light. What's up with that?
