I think they're trying to moderate the model this year, it used to spit out fairly extreme results and so people thought it was a Libertarian or Green Party scam.

They probably lowered the value of each question, so if you're within say 30% of a candidate it marks you as within range instead of say 10% which it might have been before

"Socialism" and "libertarianism" are not ideological opposites in their historical meanings.

It's really just semantics. Instead I'll say Libertarianism with a big L, then. I'm ideologically opposed to socialist economic policies but many of them have been demonstrated to be practically useful in other nations, and ultimately technology will make them necessary anyway. Nor can I be an isolationist in a competitive world that the rest of the west keeps trying to withdraw from.
