Isn’t it great when you get to the point in life where you can pay for your family’s meal?

Feels good to just pay it and not wonder about paying bills or whatever.

Bonus points if you paid for the ingredients and also cooked it.

That's true, same for paying for friends to eat out.

Bonus points when they don't use it as an excuse to order the most expensive item on the menu.

It'll be even better when they reach the point when they can pay for mine. Or even just stop fucking with the car stereo. That would be nice. Just once to get in the car and have the usb where I left it. I would settle for that.

Yeah just wait till you have your own family and you have to do that for 5 people, every single meal, 7 days a week. Feels great!

Yep, brought a bunch of extra food to cook for anyone who wanted it when we were camping this weekend, ended up getting lots of compliments and zero fucks given about getting paid back or sharing their food too. It's just fun to cook for people. Our friends buy us dinner sometimes when they come over, we do the same for them, no running tally or anything. We have some other friends where the wife is an accountant...she'll venmo 50% of the meal down to the cent and it's kinda irritating.

Yes, ordering without having to look at prices or being able to invite your family and friends is one of the best feelings out there. Im in the middle of an international trip but before leaving we went out for dinner with our closest friends and I footed the bill no issues. Sometimes they do it for us so all is well. Massive contrast to years ago when I had to bring up the calculator on my old phone and add up all the items before ordering, down to the tax.
