Couldn't insurgents just run in from the side and push them over? Also, how do they differentiate between American troops and insurgents, do they have 'freedom' programming or something? And what if the insurgents capture one and reprogram it to fight for them, or better yet turn it into a jukebox on wheels to play verses of the Koran in the midst of battle? Guys please RTFA They aren't autonomous - only semiautonomous. They receive their direction and firing orders from soldiers who are using them at nearly remote controlled gun turrets.

A nice shaped RPG round blows the crap out of an HUMVEE and can do severe damage to an APC so I would imagine they would get the shit blown out of them
