OK, I built this new PC a few weeks ago and forgot I needed files off of my old PC... well, I accidentially tried to plug in a CD-burner power cable... but the PC was on... OOPS!
So, I fried the old PC where it would power on but never boot... the video was gone too...
I decided to hook the hard drive into the new PC and I placed one of those do-hickies onto the additional hard drive to make it SLAVE.
Well, my new PC booted and detected the new hard drive and made it drive F:
I was able to get all files off of the old hard drive and reformat the drive. So I now have all my files and an additional 37GIG hard drive in the new PC. I have never added a hard drive before to a PC... so it was cool that it all worked without a hitch.
COOL!
