Italian Handheld reviewer faces jail time for...handheld reviews from Chinese makers; the legality behind it all

I guess the Italian state must have solved all the actual crime in Italy and had spare time on their hands as this is wild.

But its a fun examination of just how hard Italy goes on IP/copyright protection and "counterfeit goods" and that's coming from someone with experience in getting items (sunglasses) manufactured in Italy for previous jobs. The brand / IP protection there is intense AF

Feel terrible for the dude though. Talk about being scapegoated

He should have been more careful. Only show yourself playing games you can show you have a copy of.

He could have just deleted all the ROMs, then, ideally ripped his own, or at least found some for the games he had legal copies of.

Hard to believe man. Italy is such a beautiful country. Never pass up an opportunity to visit. The state of Europe is so damn sad. I recently reread the Mine Were of Trouble trilogy and it feels like those types of men don't even exist anymore. I legitimately believe that breed of Spainard and Italian got so decimated in WWII that they might be extinct. I see no trace of them today. Instead, Itay's government is so captured by intl finance that they're just an enforcement arm for shit like this. It does nothing to serve the Italian people.

Laws about IP in Italy are insane, think twice before flying to Italy with a fake watch or clothes.

Lol, thats actually funny as fuck. All if this stuff is made in a damn sweatshop in South/South East Asia and then sent back with tags and prices on them. Ask me. Had a whole side to work with in textiles 😂😂😂
